P_body
What are the top five (or 10) most viable combos to start playing again? Please nobody say cleric... I mainly played warriors rogues or hybrids. No straight mages. I'm not looking for "what's strongest" perse, but no idea whats the meta now. Just looking for some solid options to choose from. Edit: can also suggest combos to stay away from as a returning noob.
Imoutgoodbye
Give the new ninja skillset a go. Things to stay away from: 1. @Lloth
'tarako
Beast ranger, tracker or beastmaster Ninjas are super forgiving and have alot going for them Druids have some annoying things, but I flat out couldn't come close to finishing the trib that's running around. Pally are also super surviveable, and have a great toolkit
Rensvert
Ogre or feral or werebeast ranger in merchant or herald.

Ulmusdorn
Druids are a bad shout as super newbie friendly. They need a lot of upkeep and yearning is a pain. Drow Cleric, Dwarf Cleric, Ogre Ranger, Feral Ninja, Fire giant Warrior.
Fool_Hardy
Well. You know. Welcome home. I think you would likely find ninja to your liking. Many may complain you are OP though so expect negative feedback. As a returning player I suggest a history and two or three introductory journals. Get the 20 RP needed and purchase Identify in the Bazaar. The EQ is all getting reworked and knowing stats is important. Have fun.
P_body
Ninja looks fun... Suggested race and paths? Feral didn't seem like such a great one but someone commented on it. Others thoughts?
'tarako
The standards are feral and half drow. Doublesheath path is pretty brutal, the autothrows on murder rounds are nasty. But realistically any of the paths are viable. The vuln on feral really isn't much of an issue at all
P_body
Can anyone suggest a good mentor/player of ninjas who will give me some advice?
mya
Rangers. Ninjas a lot harder to pk with. And pve with. Halfling archer ranger Ogre tracker ranger Werebeast Beastmaster ranger H-elf invoker Storm combat cleric savant H-drow necro bone path with mummy For those who know nothing a neutral ranger archer is like super easy. Sleeping arrows allows you to places and be less gear dependent. Werebeast allows you to also not depend on good weapons, but bard for archery. Also drop by by the discord. Ask questions there. Faster answers.
