CruelEdict
Heh. MtG is my main hobby, I just come here to annoy the piss out of people and on rare occasion roll a character. 'Fraid not. Psycho Child
I quit MtG when the kamigawa sets came out. I used to be a competition player, spending about $1000 a month on cards. And that was when I knew some people and bought all my cards at cost, rather than retail. I have some where in the nature of 50k+ cards, never actualy counted them. I still occasinaly play casual, but none of my family/friends will play me anymore cause I never loose. My primary decks all cost me $300+ each to build. It was a bit of an obsession, I'd spend weekends playing magic straight for like 60 hours. I was disappointed with the new sets and decided to end my addiction. CruelEdict
Kamigawa was total crap. It rotates out in Sept. -- thankfully. Standard will be Ravnica Block, Coldsnap, 9th Edition, and Time Spiral Block. Which, from all I can see, will be the best Standard environment since Invasion. If you were competative, you won't get better than post-Rotation Standard. I quit MtG when the kamigawa sets came out. I used to be a competition player' date=' spending about $1000 a month on cards. Psycho Child
Glad Kamigawa is going away. I probably won't ever get back into MtG seriously though. Such a moneysink to remain competitve, and I don't have the spare cash these days. And I still say Urza's bloc was the best EVER.
CruelEdict
You mean most broken? If you still have old cards, just do an Eternal format or even Extended. You then need to invest in a small number of cards to stay competative. I play Standard and it is a serious waste of cash, but due to my current living status, it works. Though I am just recently playing on any competative levels. Glad Kamigawa is going away. I probably won't ever get back into MtG seriously though. Psycho Child
I've thought about getting into an extened tourny or two, but between college and working two jobs I just don't have the time atm. Too many damn hobbies.
CruelEdict
Yea, I am not taking Summer classes and only working one job (hoping for two), so I have free time enough to do it. Its a time-consuming hobby. I've thought about getting into an extened tourny or two' date=' but between college and working two jobs I just don't have the time atm. Too many damn hobbies. Fiere
Used to play, back around slithers, stopped right around Urza's Saga. WAY too expensive. Much prefer FL.
