The only people who know less than high school students are automatically hired to teach high school students.

And, Grim Reefer. I'm a high school student. I'll go heads up with you on Trivia or debate or anything any day.

Well, I guess I'm not a high school student TECHNICALLY, but I'm that age, I'm just attending college 2 years early.

Dude... I completely misread everything after the comma.

I was about to be like, "Damn dude, can we get away with that kind of vulgarity on these forums?"

But then I read it again in disbelief... and sure enough it was a pretty normal, family friendly... ya know... thing to say I guess.

Although

I have been away from my GF for 4 months now' date=' and I really miss her. Talk to her on the phone everyday. does this make me needy? I dunno, I was just wondering if this was just me, or normal.[/quote']

Talking to someone everyday for four months and missing her is normal, but putting it on a webpage and sharing with a buncha people you dont know, thats not normal..get that checked on.

and high school students know nothing? I bet you cant even spell your own name' date=' you ****ing hypocritical bastard.[/quote'] Now, now. That's not terribly nice of you. When you pop out of your happy little bubble and look around a bit, you'll realize that you really, really don't know much. Walking, sure. Talking, sans intelligence or wit, sure. Otherwise, both you, Brsingr, and I, and Djriacen, and Twendrist, among many others, don't know much. The key, m'friend, is to realize this, and work around it.

Now calm down. Go take a nap.

Prejudice? No, its evidence

The fact that he's stoner SHOWS that he's not very smart, its not some kind of illogical jump conclusion.

The only prejudice here is against high school students.

People make there own choices in life, but because a person indulges in an activity does not make them stupid, or in anyway ignorant. Just because it's not something you would do, doesn't make it stupid either. Smoking doesn't make you stupid, and you don't have to be stupid to smoke. And besides I was Joking.

Actually, smoking DOES slow neural pathways and it DOES, at least in some way, make you stupider.

Scientists have learned a great deal about how THC acts in the brain to produce its many effects. When someone smokes marijuana, THC rapidly passes from the lungs into the bloodstream, which carries the chemical to organs throughout the body, including the brain.

In the brain, THC connects to specific sites called cannabinoid receptors on nerve cells and influences the activity of those cells. Some brain areas have many cannabinoid receptors; others have few or none. Many cannabinoid receptors are found in the parts of the brain that influence pleasure, memory, thought, concentration, sensory and time perception, and coordinated movement4.

The short-term effects of marijuana can include problems with memory and learning; distorted perception; difficulty in thinking and problem solving; loss of coordination; and increased heart rate. Research findings for long-term marijuana abuse indicate some changes in the brain similar to those seen after long-term abuse of other major drugs. For example, cannabinoid (THC or synthetic forms of THC) withdrawal in chronically exposed animals leads to an increase in the activation of the stress-response system5 and changes in the activity of nerve cells containing dopamine6. Dopamine neurons are involved in the regulation of motivation and reward, and are directly or indirectly affected by all drugs of abuse.

Whether or not its a stupid decision can be debated.

If you want to debate whether or not it SCIENTIFICALLY makes you stupider, then provide evidence, because all evidence I've seen means it DOES make you stupider. Not the same as a stupid decision, and consideribly less of a debatable stance.

Edit: Slows memory and learning? I think that's a major part of how we judge intelligence.
