Implementor Erelei Posted April 14, 2020 Implementor Report Share Posted April 14, 2020 Alright, after some discussion, Anume and I have decided it's best (along with a majority vote of our other Immortals) that we should make the code publicly viewable. You can see it here: https://gitlab.theforsakenlands.net/Erelei/the-forsaken-lands You do not need an account. To fork, or request a merge (or any other git commands, etc) you'll need to create an account. Account creation, however, is disabled at this time. In time, snippet coders will be given their own accounts to fork and send merge requests as we give them tasks and snippets to create. 4 3 1 Link to comment
egreir
Great step in the right direction. A question or two? Say SnippetCoderA wants to rewrite the battlemage class, is he able to propose that in git, or is it only smaller scale stuff? Do we have our eye currently on any snippet coders? aaa
I imagine the scenario is: Staff decide what they want coding and present that to a snippet coder. Snippet coder writes snippet and pushes it in git. Erelei reviews code and pushes it/modifies it/rejects it etc. So, I don't think it'll be the snippet coders place to present ideas. Link to comment
Implementor Erelei Posted April 14, 2020 Author Implementor Report Share Posted April 14, 2020 Anyone can clone the git repo and work on the code at their leisure, and write code. If they want to suggest a change or merge a fix, they can with an account. I'll add accounts to those who ask, and those who can show they know a thing or two about git, since I don't want to sift through crappy or 'oopsie' git merge/branch requests. Link to comment
