Thief traps

Traps

Traps are precision set to not spring on a commoner walking down the street. In some instances they are evem magically enchanted to a degree. Though interesting, I think they are very much meant to be PvP only.

With some changes though, maybe make a line of traps that are triggered by NPC as well.

I think it'd be more annoying than helpful. Imagine you've got a trap perfectly set up for some really mobile person that hardly ever comes near towns, they're about to walk into it, and suddenly it's sprung by some stupid citizen or other mob.

I don't know about you guys, but that would infuriate me ;p

While on the subject of thief traps, if a thief wears a piece of EQ that raises his spell levels, would that affect the spell levels of the trap? For instance if I wear something that gets my mental spells up a level, would the level of my antimagic trap go up?

Yeah, sure, be in the room when someone walks through your trap 100 times before, and 100 after, and of course you would have the +EQ still, and log it all...

Give me a break.

Edit: And said patsy would need identical saves, identical race, identical level...

No. Nonsense.
