The Ofcol dragon

So I play a ranger. That makes me being able to dish out good damage per round.

But the dragon in Ofcol is guarded by a mage and a knight who are impossible to beat before the area repops again. That is if I, of course, stay in the area. Leaving it is not an option when one of the guards is dead.

Now, I have succeeded before with an other character but the reason I did was because, for some reason, first the mage suddenly died at "quite a few wounds" and after some rest so did the knight.

Are you not supposed to get to this dragon on your own? And the fact that the guards died prematurity that one time, was that a bug?

The guards, yes, probably a bug. Not sure what they do, haven’t played with them a ton tbh.

The Dragon itself? It’s supposed to be pretty hard; hard enough that it had the dragon slayer quest taken off it. Best bet is to get a group and knock it out together. Alternatively, if you are going to try to solo it, I would recommend that you find a way to poison or plague it, so that you can rest and recuperate without giving it time to do the same.

Also keep in mind that Ranger pets are squishy and I’m pretty sure he breathes big fireballs - if you want your friends to live long enough to help, make sure you’re using group sanctuary (like the glimmering staff or the eye of the basilisk) and not vials or other single user sources.

No, it is still included in the dragon quest. That it's why I want to kill it. The dragon itself isn't the problem though.

It's very tough, but can be killed given a lot of time and a lot of rest. The problem is that I can't get passed the guards. It takes an half hour (in real life time) to kill the mage guard and just when I had gotten the knight to "quite a few wounds", the dead mage guard has repoped even with me not leaving the area.

Protecting my pets I know, as you say, with a glimmering staff.

I promise it is no longer included in the dragon quest.

Well it was for my last character and I completed the quest for that character just a couple of weeks ago. Although it was before the changes done in the sewers.

Maybe you are right? And I thought I had found the replacement dragon for the now lost red one in the sewers.

So if the red one is gone and the Ofcol one no longer is included in the quest, the must be a new dragon somewhere?

I know,

I've read the message, but I always thought the adjustment regarded the loss of the red dragon and another dragon not previously included that now is.

Guess I have to do more research.

Two changes to the dragons of the quest, replacing the red dragon and ofcol's dragon.

Thank you.

So now I have to find me another dragon. One I have found, but where is the last one, I wonder. 😊

Just the other three, no red dragon, for whatever reason.

Not sure what crack you're smoking lol. It definitely involved the red dragon, previously. I should've been more considerate of the lore when I replaced the dragon with a basilisk, but I wasn't thinking, hence the shuffle.

Did this goober really try to tell me about quests? The brass balls on this guy ;)

There have always been 4 dragons involved outside of the tower and that remains the same. We were going to change it anyway because Zoichan wanted to murder every noob in the game by making the gold dragon harder.

I really could have sworn the red dragon wasn't one... but I very well could be mistaken. It has been years since I have actually done that quest since the weapon is very situation-ally useful and takes up an inventory slot.

Not sure if the gold dragon is harder, killing that guard to get in the room is hard enough, still haven't done it and feel like a pansy for asking for help.

Side thought - are you level 50?

Yes, I am lvl 50.

As for the thirty minutes, I wasn't timing the battle perfectly but it did take forever. The time, of course, is not only active battle time. It also included the time it took for me to flee, heal up and go at it again.

I don't have any logs of them dying at 75%, but I remember well, that they did for a former character, because it supprised me, but made sence since they were so extremly hard to kill. I though, then maybe, they are meant to die "early" due to something rendering their existence useless or something.
