Fiere
Minotaur. Uber charge helps with mages.
sixfeetunder
as i understood it the uber charge for minos is only for zerks. so if you're going warrior i would say ogre or dwarf.
Warpnow
Ogre warrior isn't easiest... Maybe Stone Giant, but honestly? A goodie slith can chameleon...that is a HUGE advantage for someone newer to the game. Or halflings with their dex and magic resistance...
Celerity
Easiest is probably good human because you won't have to fight people with ranks on you, you get longer consumables, align protection, decent stats, and no weakness. That doesn't mean it is the strongest. Weaker opponents. Less harvesting. Protection from goods. No vulns. edit: or lawful fire warriors..easiest because you won't have to play long. Iyorvin
Gnome. Small size. Mental vuln. High int/wis. 18 str/dex/con - warriors most needed stats

WHAT?! no FIRE response? where is the REAL celerity, dangit! but i'd have to agree with goodie human, for all the same reasons. but i loved my gnome warrior. hella fun to RP. everyone should try a gnomie warrior. Celerity
Unfortunately, fire warrior bane is evil cleric, which is extremely strong (against everything?? even invokers if they had a brain..) and of course popular now.

Deykari
don't be too cocky' date=' balinor does as well, dizz.[/quote'] You beat me to it. I wouldn't say Ogre, because if you're not too knowledgable on saves EQ, you'll find it tricky against mages. I would say either Neutral Human, because of the reasons mentioned by others above, but also a good slith, for they have some decent stats for Warriors, and chameleon/shed skin can be lifesavers, like Warpnow said. As for giant-sized, I think Mino warrior would be easiest to play, because of their good all-round stats, axe-bonus, giant-size and no vulns. Plus you'd be a neut, so you can make friends with both goods and evils. Dey
The Lemming
A human warrior works well, I would say not evil though, everyone is paranoied about evil humans untill you pass the 30th rank. Makes finding groups a tad hard in my experience. I have also been itching to try a slith or stone warrior, could be interesting, but I think human is probably the best. Did anyone mention that they are easier to train than giants too? I forget... As far as RP goes, there is great potential for a female warrior. My male warriors RP's have been really crappy so I lost intrest in the early.
Grumpy
I don't think there really is a easy to play warrior. All variants of warriors are the same in the end, they need to get and keep that hit/dam set, which takes a lot of skill to gather then keep. Sure human warriors are easiest to rank but getting the bashlock will be hard, personally I think human warriors are the hardest of the warriors to play at 50. The Lemming
It really depends on your PK/RP style, the human warriors that I have played in the end, dont rely on the bashlock. As a matter of fact one I played even went out of her way to let people out of it close to the end of the battle. Some people took their chance and fled others got so far spammed they stood no chance. Again there are many options with warriors and untill you have played every Warrior lore you wont know your style of warrior. Humans are the easiest to get to 50 with and learn about lore though. Implementor Anume Posted July 21, 2006 Implementor Report Share Posted July 21, 2006 I'd say ogre for total beginner and for experienced player. Total beginner will have a chance to win a pk or two in the -40 range and probably not pinn first char anyway. Ogre gives you (beside good hr/dr) a good hp buffer to flee/recall/ do something instead of just seeing oh, I'm dead as is often the case with the low hp races when the text is just flying by you. If you manage to pinn all the better, you'll probably get killed a lot more than killing but you have a chance to get someone at least. Ogres are also insanely good tanks against mobs, so you'll probably get invited on a lot of trips to interesting places where you can learn where all those shinies come from. Also very easy to get a basic set without help. At 50 an ogre will only be really sucessful if you know where to get the right armor/pills/potions. Same goes for fire giant. Excellent choices for experienced players. For someone still relatively new to it but someone who's had a pinn or two I'd recommend mino (good str/con, no vulns) or slith, which can be very mean as well, esp. if caballed. Guest emp_newb
agreed. Ogres overall have a nasty vuln but with around 1400ish hp at pinn, in even basic gear have a good chance, given the huge hp regen as well. You can take alot of damage and just run off and sleep for a tic and you have a nice chunk back. Coupled with the priming a two hander, you can get ahold of some nasty weapons, as well as never even train and win in pks. and they do make great tanks in a party as well. So for a total beginner to learn melee. Neutral ogre, and if you are really wanting to get some lessons in running and fighting at once, try for warmaster, that is the pk training academy. Pali
Best warrior race I'd say is neutral ogre. No protection, huge amount of good eq available, no instant enemies, massive amounts of hp, fast regen, high strength, giant size... the vuln is easily overcome if you're smart about it.
