Mathicus smoothes his overcoat with the palms of his hands. 'Hnn...'

Mathicus rasps, 'I suppose it all depends.'

Korthian says 'On what?'

Mathicus rasps, 'On whether or not I am the...'

Korthian says 'Oh, you would be the one giving out the loan.'

A smile forms on Mathicus's face. 'I figured as much.'

Korthian nods.

Korthian says 'Some big expenses might be coming up, and I'm testing the waters for loans in Aabahran.'

Mathicus yanks a small book from his pocket. 'This... is my balance.'

The Grand Bank of Rheydin

You stand here within the bank of Rheydin. Located in the crime

free Northern Abbey district, this bank is a marvelous sight,

with marble tiled walls, and large pillars that support a large,

vaulted ceiling painted with murals of mountain scenes.

Korthian rides in.

Mathicus skirts to a small corner of the room and sits down at a bench.

Quietly, Mathicus begins flipping through his ... balance book.

Korthian waits patiently.

Mathicus rasps, 'Well, it says here that my current balance is around one point five million gold pieces.'

Mathicus rasps, 'Now, I have no use for this money.'

Korthian says 'One point five million, impressive.'

Korthian nods.

Mathicus looks up at Korthian, closing the book. 'You can have two thirds of it. As a loan, of course.'

Korthian says 'Oh no no, not yet.'

Korthian says 'I just wanted to know if you would be willing to give loans, and it seems you are.'

Mathicus's smile widens. 'Whenever.'

Korthian smiles happily.

Korthian says 'What would the interest rate be?'

Mathicus rasps, 'Zero percent, Korthian.'

Korthian says 'Zero percent?!'

Korthian doesn't seem to believe it.

Korthian says 'I can't accept that.'

Mathicus stuffs the book back into his pocket.

'Sure you can.', Mathicus huffs breathily.

Korthian says 'After all, you already pay ten percent just to withdraw it from your account.'

Mathicus rasps, 'I am sure it is for a good cause.'

Korthian nods.

Korthian says 'It would be for construction purposes.'

Mathicus rasps, '...Right now, my money isn't really...'

Mathicus slowly folds his arms over his chest as his chin sinks.

Mathicus continues, 'It isn't doing anything at all.'

Korthian nods.

Mathicus rasps, 'It isn't even helping the Library.'

Mathicus rasps, 'The Library uses a different form of currency.'

Korthian says 'I can guarantee you that any loans you give me will be put towards a good cause.'

Korthian nods at you in agreement.

Mathicus nods his head a couple times.

Mathicus rasps, 'Well, good or not, it doesn't matter to me.'

Mathicus rasps, 'Putting it to a cause period would make me happy.'

Korthian chuckles politely.

Korthian says 'I suppose I understand what you mean.'

Mathicus lowers his arms and pushes himself back to his feet.

Korthian says 'Well Historian, I thank you for your generosity.'

Mathicus asks, 'Let me know when you want to make the transaction, then?'

Korthian nods.

Korthian says 'I will.'

Mathicus nods back. 'Good.'

Korthian says 'See you again soon, Mathicus.'

Korthian gallantly tips his hat.
