I am going to have to do some thinking about what I can do to improve here as I am currently getting handled.

When you get forms it's not even going to be close unless I make some major adjustments.

Was a very entertaining battle. My takeaways from this is that Giants may be better suited as shield warriors than smaller sized races. Also Ogres are still able to regain on the tick by spamming sleep while under poison/bloodloss? Very interesting.

My takeaway is that unblockable damage from passive shield bashes shouldn't be so high given the increased survivability.  I don't care what anyone says about having to give up bow/dual wielding.  Those things can be defended against. The command-input shield bash damage/effects are fine as is IMO.  The passive damage seems high for unblockable/defensible (besides disarming).  Warriors can still dual-wield and throw up a bow with a quick macro for burst damage.

Why not use the undead lifedrain? Slow down his regen of everything. Make him bleed with shield and keep poison up. Keep dirt kick and keep healing like an ogre. All he can do is make you bleed with shield bash in attempts to slow your regen. Try to use your pets more often. If you aim to be successful, expect the battle to be long and drawn out. Catch him slipping eventually and capitalize.

The damage does not seem too high. If you look at their melee strikes, caps damage is still in affect during the battle. Without dual wield and a bow, you lose 4 attacks, all of which can hit caps. So your saying, that the 1 LACERATES, is too strong compared to the 3 LACERATES and a MUTILATES from dual wield and a bow. A bit laughable. Shield bash also has 2 different styles. Light shield and heavy shield. Want to shield bash more often or hard as fuck? Its a choice.

You're assuming dual-wield strikes and bows hit that hard and it's not true in many cases.  I have a few logs of my toons taking non-caps damage from melee strikes and then DISMEMBERS from the passive shield bashes (not the command input ones) through sanc.  I have logs from my vamp that show a vuln weapon doing less damage than shield bash.  I have a log of a duel with a WM as a caster and that WM eventually gave up dual wielding for shield bash because it was doing more damage.

I guess if data is laughable, chuckle away.

Problem is if you weaken shield lore, it becomes worthless. Right now it's a viable option. Is it the BEST option? Debatable I suppose.  OP? I'm not sure yet, but it feels strong and fun.  Ogre war WM is a good base combo already though, so hard for me to be objective yet about whether its shield lore that's over the top or if its just another run of the mill power combo.  I will say that I lean towards it being a little too strong just simply given the track record of shield wars. Ialethe? Sarindel? Once you start seeing the same type of combo on top, it's time to maybe look into a nerf. Slight or big, idk. But I'll keep playing and posting logs and let you guys be the judge of that.

Also, not sure my tick catching is being given enough credit. I easily lose a lot of those fights if I don't play smart and flee/heal a bit as an Ogre.  It's not all shield block in these logs.

I'm a half-drow, I don't have lifedrain or undead regen unfortunately.

Cutting his regen was top of my list, but I can only poison him with a gear or dragon prog, which isn't something I can control reliably.

I wouldn't say Sarindel is "on top" of the PK hierarchy. I am OK in PK, and people are often surprised that he is competitive the first time we fight, but I definitely don't have a big PK record. I have also had to gear up in a very specific way to try to stay competitive. Part of the challenge as a non-giant shield warrior is that you generally can't simply overpower your enemy with melee, and even when you're winning it is tricky to get reliable lag. But this is something I knew going in, and I am still enjoying the play style and having fun generally. I am also enjoying having to think about adapting for new challenges.
