In the back of the cave, you see a large pile of rotting cloth, fur, and plant matter. Safety is towards the west.

Sparse Canyon Firs, the Main Trail A beautiful path through pines, the Canyon entryway is very plain to behold, colorful collections of flowers surprisingly absent. Most of the forest floor is covered in dead pine needles and pine cones, with the occasional zealous green sapling reaching up for recognition. The path is well worn, and there are even portions of the path that have been cobbled. Weeds and shifting quakes have long tossed the cobble, and it does not appear to have ever been a city, as not a single ruin besides the pavement can be spotted.

A Non-Conductive Oasis Hiding between large copper-colored rocks is a crystal clear oasis pond right in the middle of the electrical storm. For some unknown reason, the arcs of yellow electricity do not enter the water here. The basin of the pond additionally appears carved by an architect, having a very smooth pit, and no natural plants at all surround it. The copper spires surrounding the oasis seem to vibrate with anger at the presence of this water, crackling wildly and frequently. Touching them does not seem the best idea, but to navigate further, one would have to at least try to climb them. The only way out from the view and access to the water of the oasis is to return east into the open dunes.

There is a strong wind here, and while you can barely see the rest of the canyon to the north, the sands have mostly engulfed your location. There is a persistent mirage on every side from a mysteriously absent heat, and electrical sparks leap up from the sand in shocking displays of random aggression towards the sky. The hints of lightning rods poking over the horizon to the west fade into view.

An enormous field breaks before you to the west with a clear road leading through the desert there. Yellow arcs of electrical energy branch from the ground up into the air, flying off of the tops of dunes and climbing up metal spires that someone long ago anchored into the sands. The stairs leading up to the stone platform are directly north.

|886hp 704m 465mv 49140tnl> |D(ism)ounted 20'00 hours> An Ancient Patio Juncture Built many eons ago, this platform of rectangular stones forms a circle, a juncture of different paths on the border of a cliffs to the east, sand dunes to the south, and a giant cave to the north. In the middle of the circle is a monument stone, long broken by vandalism or weathering. There were once buildings here by the look of a few old columns which are half buried in the gravel off to the west. Perhaps a doorway once lead into a small enclosure there. The platform is covered in weeds, which have naturally cleared in places where adventurers have walked frequently.

The rocky walls are glassy with ferrous metals, glittering a dull yellow. The rocks seem soft and mingled with clay, large chunks of old cliff lying in the path. A path has been forcibly cut here in some cases, yet in others the desert shrubs have grown well over the visible walkway. The Nickle in the cliffs makes the air taste grimy and bitter. The passage between the two sheer walls breaks opened abruptly to the west of you and appears to yield to a man-made courtyard of some kind. The yard is visible from here, sporting rectangular bricks and a rail which cuts the circular platform off from the overgrowth on the flanks.
