Inter-cabal Warfare, and Good VS Good

I remember asking this before on the old forums, but I'm still in the dark a bit and wonder if anyone could answer a few questions for me:

If a good aligned character was in a Cabal that was at war with a Cabal that has other good-aligns in, is it perfectly fine to bring the 'enemy' goodie to mercy in terms of the whole 'good shouldn't fight goods' thing?

With Cabals that can house the entire alignment spectrum, if I was an evil in a Cabal with a goodie, and said goodie was a follower of Purity, would their Cabal alleigance take priority over their religion, thus making me not a target to them, or is fighting between members within a Cabal (not including Coup) fine if there is good reason (such as religion)?

Just wonderin'.

Thanks,

Dey

well with experience with having good caballed, you still have to do your duties to the cabal. That means you have defend and fight you enemy but does not mean to kill them. When I had my trib I had to go after all people regardless of align. Also when I had my WM monk I had to defend my standard when I fought agiasnt a healer in Savant.

Now with religion I can not answer so well but I think they have to be very careful since it might intervine their religion. But as I said I do know that much.

On a side note: I believe you could try to pursaude the 'enemy' to 'give up' though I dont think they will but that is also a option.

In most cases where I've been in this situation, I've been told by my cabal Immortal that if my only enemy logged on is a goodie, then I should not be trying to take their standard. If there is another member on who is not good, then I can take the standard, but be prepared for the goodie to be permitted to do anything to try and stop me - at the altar. The goodie was not allowed to chase me down and kill me, however.

It's a fine line, but most cabal Immortals will show you how to walk it without getting yourself hip deep in trouble.

I don't like the whole align stuff some times. In this situation, the goodie warmaster, who follows the ways of goodiness in respect to war, is fighting a goodie mage who believes their ways are the true ways to the light. Kinda like a middle east situation ;), just let em kill each other already!

Trib: goody vs goody will happen, Tribunal does not kill them but executes them. If non-good trib is about he should hunt goody criminal. Goody wanted better be careful he does not kill the goody trib though. (accident is fine but e.g. repeated lagging when the tribby good tries to flee will get you outcasted)

All other cabals: good vs good only in defense, should not kill each other. Very careful with outcast here. Talk to cabal Imm if in doubt.
