Deykari
A ton of people will be checking this thread out first thing on the forums, thinking the MUD is down. I love it when people get confused. Dey

JumpenJack
Great Never lost link before and my internet connection worked just fine. But as I was fighting Glaen I lost my link. Whatever, I'm pissed. How does just one person go link dead I wonder.
Designated_Driver
And now at least one person knows who you are.
Warmongrel
Nope, didn't crash. And it's a new shaman skill called kill your opponents link. Nice to hit it right before attacking so that way you got a good 20 mins of spelling them up without any kind of fighting back. I used to use it with covus all the time, it's really hard to land though.
JumpenJack
I'm serious I'd like to know what happened. Why am I the only one who lost my link to the game?
Acerbity
Several others did as well, to my knowledge.
JumpenJack
Ok well Okay well, I'd like to know why only some lose there link then. I want to make sure this never happens again.
Warpnow
Sometimes the connection of a server can slow drastically, causing people with a slower connection to timeout the initial connection, because not very long is given for an established connection before a mud times out. I had this happen once on a free mud server. Its connection was slowed when the owner doubled the server as a bittorent server. It caused slower connections to time out because it didn't respond with enough time for slower connections to react. That is the only possible thing I can think of to make the mud down for only some people. It would be very unlikely and unprobable, but its all I'ver ever seen cause that kind of problem. JumpenJack
I have DSL, and a computer I just put together with nothing on it besided my mud client. So who else lost there connection anyway? Anyone? Maybe I'm over reacting, but I hate to feel cheated and powerless. I fully intend to get to the bottom of this. Celerity
I think a major router went down in the states.

Grishnak
Yes, you can ping the server. And there are times when, like Celerity said, a router will go down somewhere that will cause a certain region to lose its connection to FL. Nothing you can do about it except pick up the pieces and come back with a vengeance. No use getting upset about it, because you are powerless to stop it from happening.
