So, since this Forum has been a little stale lately and hasn't really been very good entertainment for me at work, I figured I'd kickstart a thread that will hopefully bring some more activity onto the forum.

In lieu of the recent powerball winnings for the folks at the Sargento (Mmm...cheese...) factory, it brought me thinking more and more about what I would do if I were to suddenly win the lottery - and I mean like REALLY win the lottery, like over 200 mil (or pounds or whatever your currency)

As stated in a previous post,

1. I'd buy an authentic castle in Ireland with Crypt and our daughter as stated in a previous post

2. Start med school as soon as I could as stated in a prevoius post

3. I'd go to fashion shows and wear Gucci and Prada and all those fabulous things I would never justify buying presently.

4. I'd throw huge dinner parties in our castle for all of our friends making it renaissance themed where everyone had to dress up just for the fun of it.

5. I'd pay off my parent's home discreetly because I know they would never accept it if I offered.

6. I'd play the stock market and enjoy it

7. I'd travel the world

8. I'd hire a trustworthy nanny so Crypt and I could finally go on a nice date without our daughter.

9. Did I mention I'd shop? Cuz I would...like a fiend!!!! MUAHAHAHAHA!

10. And last but not least...I'd hold an FL convention and fly everyone out and pay for them to be put up since otherwise no one will ever meet.

hmmm, I'd build a house on my father's land(it's been his dream for awhile, and I don't think he'd ever be able to do it in his lifetime otherwise), I'd Buy my mom a place too somehwere in the country cus she likes that kinda atmosphere, pay for my little bro's college, make some sound banking investments, but of course I'd have to splurge and build me that huge mansion complex, with all the goodies, underground tunnels, secret passages...you get the idea. Maybe an underwater getaway....sealab style.

Honestly? If I personally won about $200 million, which after taxes is about $100 million, I'd probably give a mil or so to my mom, because she's had a lot of money worries lately. I'd buy myself a REALLY pretty and fun car, design and buy an incredible gaming computer, finish college (two reasons: One, money can vanish, an education can't, and two, it's SO much fun), buy a nice, but not too huge, house, and then... try and figure out what to do with myself. Might drop a few grand to support FL, as I truly believe that, despite the problems, this is the MUD that has the most potential to be a truly incredible game/community.

I'd put it into bonds and stocks and use the interest to fund NGOs and people I believe need funding.

1. Travel the world. A dream of mine.

2. My own place. And one for my parents. Not in Britain.

3. I'd have some sort of signature guitar made for myself. Like many guitarists, it wouldn't be a guitar that I played (I'd obviously player a better one that cost ridiculous amounts for very little) but you know, I'm vain like that.

4. Finish my training and degree course.

5. No idea. I could say that I'd invest some in someway to keep some secure etc etc. but knowing my past history with spending it will probably be gone in a week with nothing to show for it apart from a huge keg of beer and good memories.

Im of Irish descent, and my family, however distant, still owns a castle in ireland, northern ireland to be exact. And, if I kill about 50 of my other family members I inherit a title, muwahaha LORD MATT IS WHAT YOU WILL CALL ME FROM NOW! (well thats what I'd yell after i spent the 200mill commiting genocide on my family lol)

I was in pain parting with money to buy a new monitor, I don't think I could spend that much money, ever. I think the big difference would be instead of living the disgruntled miserly life I live now, I'd live the happy miserly life, knowing I can afford all I want, but not actually buy it. Maybe I'd buy a new car, but nothing to fancy, a kia or something korean for the warranty. I would eventually die alone, because really, who here doubts that will happen, and my money will be pushed back into the government for the next powerball winner.

Maybe I'll splurg and in my will put a 'Cancer of WC' amendum or something. Air drop my ashes evenly on everyone who is on my dislike list, so they all get Cancer of WC, really it'll probably be cureable and just be a giant pain in the ***, but it'll make me feel better.

I begin working part time at my current job.

I live off the revenue that my rental properties are bringing me. In 20 years I retire, live in one of my houses that I was previously renting out.

Spoil my wife and our thirteen children.

And yea. I'd just want to be comfortable...I wouldn't need Bentleys and Hummers and all sorts of stupid crap.

2000 a month, times 12....24K a month in income, just from renting houses. thats over a quarter million a year.

Maybe I'd just quit my job entirely, who needs to work part time when you're bringing in 250,000 a year.

Hrm. First things first, we all know this is never gonna happen but...

0) FIRST AND FOREMOST. Pay for that expensive *** divorce I can not seem to get!!

1) I would go shopping. My one love is to go shop for my kids. Buy them clothing instead of goodwill crap, buy them toys, buy them a nice bedroom set, buy them a bunch of stuff I can only dream of them having right now.

2) Buy a car. Toyota Rav4. Certain type, cant think of it right now. Dark blue. Buy a MOTERCYCLE! Always want one of those handy.

3) Pay off my dad and step-mom's house they are building now. Think it is close to 4000 sq ft with a oh 10-20ft deep pool on 14 acres of land.

4) Buy my mom and step dad their shop. Pay off their house or just pay for their dream home to be built. My dad is the most awesome wood crafter you will ever see. So get him his wood shop and my mom can bake cookies and cakes and sell lemonade at the front of the shop.

5) Buy myself a nice four or five bedroom house down here in Texas. I love it here so might as well have my nice house.

6) Buy my room mate and her kid a nice house.

7) Invest alot of it, but buy some houses on the beach some place to rent. Set up my investments so I know my kids will have a secure future

GO BACK TO SCHOOL! Harvard sounds nice. Open a small law firm just for fun.

Just a few small things I might do....after I paid my hospital bill for going into extreme shock.

I would bulldoze my current home and buy a house in California. A nice one with at least an acre. I want a minicooper!!! I would have broadband and get a good comp. I would go to college, maybe major in astronomy. I would also invest a lot of it in a business.

Smoke, skate and party until I die at an early age. have fat houses on all the coasts and buy a huge condo in madison and find another hot lady, ditch current one because I wouldn't want to spend any of that money on her scandalous ***.

Of course you would save over half and put in in a savings account to get the uber interest, other than that, Play FL 24/7 and when or if i get bored, just pay people (minium wage) to rank my character and train him for me, and if I die, get them to requip for me and so on, and of course you buy a house, awsome car, awsome boat, awsome motorcycle etc. I could list for forever, but we can only dream.
