Kyzarius
Taking a break, Sslanthros is gone...for those that played with him (not counting the people today, that wa sjust a..die so i can delete kind of thing), as well as Vorqwuith, and thanks to savant that helped me so much with Reannaean. I know this will just sound the same song that all the others leaving have sang..but i am tired of the majority of RP...that basically involves "your an idiot, give me back my stuff" or "you suck! come fight" or some other thing to that degree "you killed me, you have no honor" blah blah...It seems that this sums up 90% of what i get when i initiate rp. Heck Vorqwuith experienced the same repetitive stuff so often that I incorporated it into his psionic rants on mundane repetitive surface dwellers. Though pkill is fun, without rp its very boring.... For those that fill the 10% that is fun, dare i say, creative RP..i thankyou! I am sure I will make something again in a month or so...maybe swing a trib necro since Vorqwuith was so much fun, but till then...peace.
Questioner
ah a shame you had to delete. I looked forward to rping and fighting with your character. Good luck and roll again soon.
Deykari
I know this will just sound the same song that all the others leaving have sang..but i am tired of the majority of RP...that basically involves "your an idiot, give me back my stuff" or "you suck! come fight" or some other thing to that degree "you killed me, you have no honor" blah blah...It seems that this sums up 90% of what i get when i initiate rp. If you really want to be part of the solution, have patience and make sure you perceviere. People may naturally tell you all that "You have no honour" "Give me my stuff" etc. simply on a spur of the moment, as they're ****** off for that split second after dieing and there are three things you can do: 1. Try and defend your own point when they accuse you. I have found this rarely works. 2. Abuse them back. Rarely works. 3. Try to talk with them. Get talking about something that's pretty much going off on a tangent and percievere with them if it works. Just get talking to them. If it involves notes because they've ignored you, so be it. But, I liked Vorqwuith. Shame to see you delete. Dey
Iusedtobesomebody
i tend to find those people respond very well to multi-killing. after four or five deaths, they are less likely to talk smack.
Calron
Not really. In my experience they just get more and more pissed off in character, then they begin cursing in a borderline in character way, then they go completely out of character. The last leg is usually them threatening to delete their character if I don't "stop doing x". I would try talking, I've found this to be the best solution. Deykari is right in that newer and even somewhat seasoned players will often pull some stupid line in the split second after they die, if its a particularly annoying death. Usually talking will help them calm down (unless your RP is "I'm going to kill you until you do what I want"). Talk about something that is more of a neutral ground. Crypticant
or some other thing to that degree "you killed me, you have no honor" blah blah To be perfectly honest, you have to show positive RP to receive positive RP. In my limited observation of your character Sslanthros, I saw a great deal of trash PK at low levels, and little to no RP on your end before, during, or after the fact. I'll leave it that, but like I said, you have to give to get.
Fiere
I don't always get in a bad mood when I'm killed, but if I do, I just quit out to save myself saying something stupid or rage deleting. Works wonders.
Acerbity
I had Sslanthros on my 'TO KILL A MILLION TIMES' list. I really do hate thieves that stick around for a pinnacle fight, then fully loot the one who dies. ) And then, to have them not say a word after, and just hide. Oh well. Good characters, either way; interacted with them all.
English lad
Yeah not trying to bash you or anything, but think about your own actions, you killed one of my chars 3 - 4 times on Vorqwhatever, and each time when I tried to start RP after I got ignored. Then when I finally got a kill in you didn't respond to any tells for a min or two, then quit out, and I never saw you after. We all get pissed off after dying, and I have said things I wish I hadn't, there are better times to try and understand someone's RP than when you are seething with rage from being killed. I know that I have had better reactions, when making a promise to myself not to send any tells until I am wearing a basic kit...whether that be Mithril, Red Dragon, Tainted..or whatever...
