Chayesh
You don't need to actually belong to facebook. Just see if they have some forums you can post on. *ba-da-bing*
Warpnow
If someone wants to justify inviting me, think about it this way. The more forums/groups I belong to, the less I spend at each one.
elfdude
You still have to be in school with a .edu email address, I guess I don't really know what im talking about though so yea...
Fiere
Yeah, I don't think that's how it works, Warp.
Warpnow
I know you CAN send invites, but whether or not an invite will allow you into the college section or just the High School I'm not sure.
WarriorCleric
What do I need to do to register for this site? 1. Your network needs to be supported. We support more than 2,500 colleges, 22,000 high schools and 1,000 work networks. If we do not currently support your network, please make a request. 2. If you are a college student or college alum, you need to have a valid school email account or a college alumni account. You must be able to access this email address to confirm your registration on our site. 3. If you are a high school student, you need to either have a school email address or you must be invited to join the site by another student at your school. So let me get this straight? You do not have a college email address, nor are you in a supported network for facebook, and you are asking the members of this community to invite you to join their Highschool's network? And you see no problems with this? First Facebook is the spawn of satan and the technology know as the internet. Second, facebook is for people of a common social network to extend that network online for various reasons; Maintain connection after you part, Keep up with the information age, a means to measure popularity in that network online, etc. And now you want to join an online representation of an offline community that you have no part in? Doesn't anyone take part in online ettique anymore? Read the damn FAQs. WC
Warpnow
I don't really know how the place works. All I know is I want to join the college section, but can't because I don't have an edu email addy. I thought that, maybe, with an invite, I could figure out a way to do that. *shrug* I'm sad. Edit: My college is supported, but doesn't offer student email accounts. I'm still sad.
WarriorCleric
I don't really know how the place works. All I know is I want to join the college section, but can't because I don't have an edu email addy. You don't know how it works, and it seems like you don't know what it is, but you want to join? I'm sad. You took the words right out of my mouth. There is no 'College Section' There are sections for colleges. I can't just go and browse whats happen at CalTech, I can only browse UB. If you want to join a college section without getting the Message, you need to have a .edu address. You don't even get the option to select the college from an invite menu, you just have to put in your college email. I even tested for you. If your college is supported, then there is an exception you need to find out about, or you can get an email address with the .edu from the school. I'd suggest you goto your schoolmates and find out from them. And you know what, I didn't have to even do these test runs for you, because every thing you need to know is listed on this page. And the link to that page is the Help link on the top of this page. WC
