Grishnak
This is a bit of a random question, and I'm not sure if this is the place, but can Avatars be in Warmaster? I was conjuring up ideas for new chars and that thought crossed my mind. It would be a difficult to RP character, but I love a challenge.

Polk
So, can druids join Tribunal then, maybe shoot for a strong rp and go with it? Sorry, just thought while we're asking different scenarios, I thought of this one, and figured why not?
Pali
Pretty sure the answer's no, though maybe they can be in Barbarian.
Aulian
ANYTHING can become ANYTHING if you have the RP to support it, and when I say support I mean mind blowing support. However druid + tribunal = very very hated druid.

Polk
Heh, in Barbarian? I know they usually accept magical incantations and things as a barbarian, but your not even an acceptable class to get into Warmaster though, don't fit the requirements even I think, if your talking about the druid ofcourse. What about werebeast ranger in Tribunal? Would that still be somewhat out of reach, maybe less enfasis on the mind blowing rp rather? I mean, yeah you are still a werebeast, granted powers from gaia and all, but just wondering...
Fiere
It's been stated by an immortal, I don't remember who, that a druid in tribunal would have to get severely gimped.
Pali
I was talking about the original question of Avatars in Warmaster. Note the subject of the thread.

Chayesh
WM avatar...hmmm...have to think about that for a bit and consider the help files. My initial gut reaction is that it is a bit contradictory to their "purity of mind and body" shtick.
Pali
I thought Gladiator was meant to be like the 1.0 purity of mind and body warmasters, with Barbarian's allowing of magic to be more for the revelry of combat. But that's just me.
Deykari
I was told that Avatars cannot become WMs or Savants because their Avatarly duties come before Cabal duties. So should there be any Evils within their own Cabal at the time, they would have to face-pwn them. That was a while back though, when I asked a similar question. Think that was what Iru said on the matter as well. Druid in Trib would get gimped, ranger in Trib is ok as long as not follower of nature. elfdude
I have a hard time seeing avatar in anything but Knight seeing as how they are very anti-evil by nature, and wm is a cabal about combat. You'd have to stretch that rp pretty hard.
Iusedtobesomebody
i've seen an Avatar in Savant (Llyros), and the RP that ensued was great. The High Seat was Clariana, the Light Seat was Llyros, and the Dark Seat was... um, crap, Chueh's Illithid Necro. Everyone else in the Tower was evil or neutral, I believe. it was some great RP (and PK, as there were battles galore) that otherwise would have been missing had the scenario been disallowed. that, and that bastard Llyros would pop in, hellstream my demon bard, and pop back out. damn old Savant spell. Deykari
A question then, is battling within Cabals (to the death, excluding coup) allowed, extreme RP permitting? IE. Power struggles/big disagreements between members of Savant/WM or if an Avatar was in WM/Savant with evils in the same Cabal? Dey
Iusedtobesomebody
i cannot speak for the current staff, but i felt that if it's in the RP of the characters involved and the RP of the situation at hand, go for it. any cabal that handles multi-alignments will have powerstruggles (and even sometimes like-aligns, just less frequently). if it's done right, why not? Dey Considering that it's coded within some of them, absolutely...with the proper RP backing it up, that is.

tassinvegeta
But I've got a good Avatar warmaster rp idea going on, or is it just for balancing issues that it can't be allowed?
Mudder
Anything can be done. It's just how much they might gimp you that is the question. I would assume its more the Cabal IMM you should be asking. Since different Imms run their cabals differently. As far as Warmaster and Avatar? Since Warmaster doesn't allow Avatars to apply, I would say get in Warmaster. THEN apply for Avatar. But you'd have to kinda betray your own cabal by slaughtering evils within, so you might get booted. Though i'd say it would be allowed if done properly. I made a faerie druid once, I was gimped SO badly that I deleted. I felt bad, but I was left with... Parry, Sword, Dirt kick, and control weather. Lol. A lvl 1 faerie druid has no chance to even rank with that crap, especially since every goodie would be coming to kill you with a title like... Betrayer of the Light, Faerie of Gaia
TheNewGuy
I think help files states you can't be caballed when applying for avatar. Not sure though, just remember reading something like that. I can possibly have mixed them up with crusaders, which I know cannot. But I think it's the same for avatar. Damn mud being down so I can't read and be sure.
