I post this as evidence to both player and IMM that a simple description check can unexpectedly become something cooler.

Vorka says 'greetings'

Chayesh looks appraisingly at Vorka.

Vorka looks at you.

Vorka says 'you look....rather scary'

Vorka looks at himself.

Vorka shudders at the horror and represses tears.

You say 'Does Death frighten you then?'

Vorka says 'does it not frighten everyone?'

Vorka says 'mortals always strive for immortality'

You say 'Not those who embrace its power nor those who accept their fated course.'

You say 'Strive as they will, none escape my grasp.'

Vorka says 'to embrace death is to return to the cycle of being'

Vorka says 'i rather enjoy being me'

Vorka says 'i would strive to stay immortal in this form'

You say 'Do you not seek to know what is beyond this plane of being?'

You say 'Surely your thirst for knowledge cannot be slaked this side of mortality.'

Vorka says 'indeed i eagerly seek all forms of knowledge'

Vorka says 'who said i wished to stay mortal?'

Vorka says 'however a rotting shambling corpse is not what i desire'

You say 'Mere animations of those necroptic magi....'

Chayesh waves his hand dismissively.

Vorka agrees absolutely.

You say 'To transcend life to become something more....'

You raise an eyebrow at the notion.

You say 'Now there's an adventure.'

Vorka says 'i hear powerful entities such as yourself have mastered the ability to leave this world and plunder others?'

Vorka says 'now thats the adventure'

Vorka drools all over himself -- making a TERRIBLE mess!

You say 'It is true enough. I myself am not of this plane.'

Vorka says 'to gather knowledge and power from all sources'

Vorka says 'transend life to become something more?'

Vorka says 'ahh like an angel'

Vorka chuckles politely.

You say 'Such things are but fables to amuse children.'

Vorka says 'mere fables'

You say 'Precisely.'

Vorka says 'then what do you refer to? pray tell me'

Chayesh pauses to meticulously brush away some dust from his sleeve.

Vorka says 'you mean like yourself aye'

You say 'None are as I am.'

Vorka says 'but how could one such as myself hope to even dream of such a thing'

You say 'I am Death Incarnate....you could not.'

Vorka says 'you have transended mortality to become something much greater'

You say 'Not so.'

You say 'I never was...and yet, always have been.'

Vorka says '..i....see'

Vorka says 'a cosmic force as it were?'

Chayesh chuckles a bit before replying, 'I can see that you do not truly grasp my meaning.'

Vorka says 'does that mean you are also present in other worlds?'

Vorka struggles to understand the scope of the being before him.

Vorka says 'you are death everywhere and anywhere ?'

You say 'I suppose I might. I have not paused to consider since I have much work here now.'

Vorka says 'and all the souls go to you?'

You say 'Of course...my favorite are the paladins and bards.'

Vorka chuckles politely.

Vorka says 'i can imagine'

Chayesh evilly claps his hands, 'Oh, how they squeal!'

Chayesh chuckles malevolently.

Vorka says 'then explain to me this...why do you let some souls pass on to the next life and yet retain some and curse them to an semi immortality such as the undead?'

Chayesh appears shocked as he says, 'Curse them? Never! Can you even grasp the power they wield?'

Vorka says 'are they not slaves to your will?'

Vorka says 'are they not frightened of priests?'

Vorka says 'are not the vampires slaves to the sun?'

Vorka says 'are not the vampires slaves to blood?'

Pausing to straighten his longcoat, Chayesh replies, 'Slaves, no. No more than you are to food.'

Vorka says 'sounds rather cursed existence'

You say 'Do you consider yourself a slave to the air you breathe? '

You say 'Of course you don't.'

Vorka sits down and thinks deeply.

You say 'It is simply the way you are.'

Vorka says 'you have a point'

You say 'It is a matter of design.'

Vorka says 'hmm'

You say 'A dagger has but one point.'

You say 'Is it thus flawed?'

Vorka says 'and these....gifted ones...serve you how?'

Chayesh smiles a truly wicked smile and says, 'They educate the masses.'

Chayesh chuckles malevolently.

Vorka says 'to what ? fear death? many do that as it is'

You say 'Not to fear it, but to embrace it.'

Vorka raises an eyebrow.

You say 'Many serve me unknowingly in their quests for glory, riches, and power.'

Vorka sits down and thinks deeply.

You say 'Those who serve me willingly bring so much more zeal to their work.'

Vorka says 'i believe i understand...you wish more deaths and more souls to make their way to you?'

You say 'Consider this, my young winged adventurer.'

You say 'What is it that makes up this thing called life?'

Chayesh appears to grow concerned.

Vorka sits down and thinks deeply.

Vorka says 'consciousness'

Vorka says 'the ability to reason'

You say 'Pain. Heartache. Disease. Loneliness.'

Vorka says 'some disadvantages aye'

You say 'The only way I can bear to visit these things upon mortals is that I also have the remedy to cure them.'

Growing more compassionate in his visage, Chayesh continues, '...to ease their suffering...'

Vorka looks worried.

You say 'Life is the true curse.'

Vorka says 'i am slightly puzzled.'

Vorka says 'you wish your servants to slay all others?'

Vorka says 'for what purpose?'

Vorka says 'to wish to ease the suffering of all creatures?'

Vorka says 'to give them death?'

You say 'I wish all to be cured of this disease called life.'

You say 'What so-called "god" of light leaves his followers languishing in their shells as they get old and sick?'

You say 'Where is their vaunted compassion?'

Vorka says 'true'

Vorka says 'they use them and then abandon them'

You say 'They send out these so-called healers...'

Chayesh spits on the ground.

You say 'They are the true tormentors.'

Vorka sits down and thinks deeply.

You say 'Not only are their cures not permanent, but they rip those at peace back into this realm of pain.'

You say 'Disgraceful behavior.'

Chayesh picks a speck of lint from his breeches.

Vorka says 'i believe those at "peace" have a choice in the matter'

You say 'So they claim, however, you yourself, at your young age, stated that all fear Death.'

You say 'And those that preach that fear seek to serve only themselves and their torturous masters.'

Vorka says 'when creatures die will they not return to the cycle of life and be reincarnated? so what is the use in questing to slay all in this world? or can you somehow halt their reincarnation? what will you do with the souls that are not getting reincarnate'

You say 'So, it is reasonable that these poor souls who were kept ignorant about Death's cure for their pain, would fear it.'

Vorka says 'forgive me for asking so many questions...i am rather curious'

Vorka says 'sometimes too inqusitive, it has been said of me many a time'

You say 'The Cycle is beyond mortal comprehension, however, I will attempt not to destroy your finite mind with a simpler version.'

Vorka bows in acceptance, but has a gleam in his eye.

You say 'L'

Yuck, try to cover your mouth next time!

Vorka grins a secret smile behind his hand.

Chayesh grumbles absently at the Valkyre.

Vorka looks at an elven valykre.

You say 'You might clean up a bit if you are going to entertain visitors.'

Vorka says 'a beautiful lady indeed'

Chayesh turns his attention back to Vorka.

Vorka says 'this...cure....this...immortality....i also seek it'

Vorka says 'bah who does not'

You say 'Those who fear it.'

Vorka says 'foolish then these people be'

Vorka sits down and thinks deeply.

You say 'Truly...for they seek to walk this place forever rather than growing beyond time and space.'

You say 'But such is the folly of mortals.'

Vorka says 'I don't know....ive heard so many things about you...but....everything you have said makes perfect sense'

You say 'Why would you ever expect anything less?'

You say 'Oh yes, you're mortal.'

Chayesh chuckles evilly.

Vorka chuckles politely.

Vorka says 'what of my own lord...anithraril what is his place in your scheme and aims?'

Vorka sits down and rests.

Chayesh again waves his hand dismissively.

You say 'A dottard, nothing more.'

You say 'His powers are insignificant and not worthy of comparison with mine.'

Vorka says 'he preaches magic....magic above all'

Vorka says, yes this magic...your magic...'

Vorka says 'what you offer...'

Vorka says 'i would accept it perhaps'

Vorka sits down and thinks deeply.

You say 'Magic...nothing more than smoke and mirrors. The stuff of illusion.'

Vorka mutters something quietly to himself.

You say 'You would be better served attempting to hold the wind in your hand.'

Vorka says 'well we mortals must use what we can'

Vorka says 'and magic is the greatest force we possess'

Vorka says 'i seek magic in all its forms'

Vorka says 'i seek to evolve'

Vorka looks at you.

You say 'What you seek then, cannot be found here.'

You say 'Magic is shadow, my power is substance.'

Vorka says 'the power of immortality is the greatest magic of them all'

Vorka has a mad gleam in his eye.

Vorka says 'magic i would possess'

You say 'Death is the only constant power in the multiverse.'

Vorka sits down and thinks deeply.

You say 'Life ends. Magic fails. Weapons rust. Prayers are forgotten.'

You say 'Death claims all.'

Vorka says 'that it does'

Vorka says 'some sooner some later but eventually it takes all'

Vorka ponders on everything he has heard.

You say 'As the meticulous entity that I am, we must straighten a few things with your appearance.'

***EDITED IN-CHARACTER DESC CORRECTION***

Vorka nods slowly.

Chayesh appraises Vorka again, before stating, 'I suppose that will have to do.'

Vorka bows deeply.

Vorka drinks milk from a fountain of milk.

You say 'Now then...'

Vorka grabs a mirror and looks at his own reflection.

Vorka says 'yes lord chayesh?'

You say 'Since I don't believe you fully understand what you seek, but also feel you are not a complete lost cause yet, I have something for you.'

Chayesh focuses his attention on the space above his open, upturned palm.

Vorka says 'a book of dark magic maybe? a pet vampire?'

You have created the Tome of Infinite Knowledge!

Vorka swoons.

Vorka says 'magic...'

Vorka licks his mouth and smiles.

Vorka says 'knowledge...'

Vorka licks his mouth and smiles.

Vorka says 'power...'

Vorka licks his mouth and smiles.

You say 'Fill it with the fruits of your searching.'

You give the Tome of Infinite Knowledge to Vorka.

Vorka says 'yes i will'

Vorka bows deeply.

Vorka says 'i will think long and hard upon what you have said'

Vorka says 'and contemplate'

You say 'Go then. We shall meet again...sooner than you expect, I imagine.'

Vorka chuckles politely.

Vorka looks around for a large guilotine.

Vorka says 'umm...hope the next time we meet is as quite pleasurable as it was today'

Vorka says 'not as a ...a customer'

Vorka coughs loudly.

You say 'Most hope such a thing.'

You say 'Their disappointment is quite invigorating.'

Chayesh cackles malevolently.

Vorka disappears in a mushroom cloud.

You slowly vanish into thin air.
