It depends on if the imm feels you are one of thier most deviot of followers, ive had quite a few. And in my opinion it is rp rp rp and when youve got about 400 hours on your character rp some more. Also it allways helps to stick with your religions opinions allways. Say you are a ranger and you are asking for nature tattoo, I have seen some get turned down because of them hunting in emerald forest and other forests that have creatures natureal to the area, however if you are watched and he feels you are worthy then chances are you will get it. IMO. I havent tried for one recently but am soon going to aply for one with my new project.

I have had three tattoos in my life in FL. All were in either 1.0 or early 2.0. My Ninja Knight I believe had one, my Ranger had one, but since then, I either did not apply or I did not get any. Although I have had the most chars of mine race changed in Rp events, brutally tortured or somehow otherwise disfigured by certain Imms. Fun stuff though.

Tattos are very special. They represent that you are favored by one of the gods in a unique way. It usually means you are the best example of what that god stands for.

I've gotten 3 with characters, and I gave 2 as an IMM. It is something I took very seriously as both a player and an IMM.

I believed (and still do, for that matter), tattoos are not applied for. They are granted. Sure, you can ask, but don't expect it. I watched people for months before determining whether or not they deserved it.

I watched people for months

I think that is the key. I got one tat low because I coudn't get the qrace I wanted and the tat actually created a situation like I was rping. (I didn't know it did that and I can't tell you want it was, but I will say that I still want a demon thief.) Another I got for having a super old, super involved character that I would probably still have if not for that damn pwipe. Longevity and consistancy are the keys for getting a tat 9 out of 10 times.
