Fiere
You've got the first one right, the second could refer to a number of things, depending on rank. If rank fifteen, it's probably their description that needs doing. Between than and thirty, perhaps they need to train their skills before ranking. At thirty, I would say they are waiting on an application, like for undead or some such thing.

Aulian
'My mind wanders" is a little bit of a... stupid thing to say really, (however i JUST said it so im smacking my own wrist ) but it means away from the keyboard OR there some was some problem with their connection (like me just before) and htey probably missed what everyone was telling them! TheNewGuy
I use to say I am having a bad headache instead. Or something similar.
corpsestomp
I don't say anything, it's an invitation for an attack.
Chromatic
I always make sure the people I'm grouped with know in some way or another that I'll be away from the keyboard, if I trust them, that is.

Deykari
There are a few. I tend to use 'emote pulls himself up from the ground and rubs his bruised head, "Oww, lost consciousness there"' thingy for netcuts or whatever. People saying they've lost consciousness or something similar to that usually means that they've lost connection or gone AFK (unless they're roleplaying that they've fainted of course). I've heard these (or variations) from people quite a bit too: You must be a loner/You're a little wary of stalkers aren't you?/You don't seem to want any friends = You've got nofollow set to on you idiot. My mind's eye tires = It's 3:00AM and I want to go to bed. Dey
songofsixpence
also a thought...when you receive something along the lines of "seeking an answer"...try talking with the person. you might find you spark something interesting, because maybe it is more than just a semi-rp excuse. i've seen it happen before. if you see something that you think is rp...or maybe half-rp, always, always try talking with the person. you may not get what you wanted (ranking) done, but it gives you the chance to flesh out your character some, and if you're in a clan/cabal you might be lucky and have an IMM snooping you...they like to see RP (or so I've heard).
