Polk
I was wondering what exactly it meant. I understand your luck will be bad, but the plus is that you become healthier at higher levels? Does that mean you will gain more hit points than someone without the perk at higher levels, per every time you level?
songofsixpence
sort of...experiment with varying levels of luck with multiple characters of the same race/class. make on normal, one lucky, one unlucky...rank to 10, check hp, rank to 20, check hp. you'll see some pretty major differences. Valforian
yeah my mino thulk definatly had extra hp but i died constantly from the unlucky perk, because it definatly had nothing to do with my skill.
mya
Well, i personaly would never take that perk unless i was a Invocker or perhaps a necro. Why because you will want your luck maxed and you HP's to. But for the INV the HP vantage realy offsets the bad luck. SO if i ever make another inv its gonna be unlucky. Pali
My next invoker is definitely going to be an adventurer. God damn but they are annoying to rank.
Iusedtobesomebody
as i reached the end of my last mud run, almost all of my characters were either adventurer perk (i hate ranking) or addict perk (i hate addiction). but, as we all know, neither are unavoidable here in FL. Celerity
Very few reasons not to take the alcoholic perk... Some of the 'perks' actually HURT you considerably more than they help you. I suggest mercy, one of the perks to help you train/rank, or alcoholic. Celerity
Personally, I don't see myself ever picking a perk other than alcoholic...but I can see why people would want the others to get a hard skill (rescue), etc.
Evangelion
I've taken merciful with several characters, for the sole purpose of RP.

Fiere
Funny, I've never noticed a lowering of hp with sickly.
songofsixpence
i might just have bad luck or something, but it's seemed like every character i've taken the sickly perk on has had mid-low hp compared to some of the other things i've done. Deykari
Check the helpfile for sickly. If you think about a sickly person in general, and a reason why they might be always sick, you might be able to work out it's downside. Pointless a lot of you choosing the mercy perk, because that would assume you're able to actually bring someone to 1 hp. dEY
