Kinicky
imo Avian is pretty solid too. Halfling gives you magic resistance and 25 dex, which rocks out with shadowdancer stance. But their strength is really low, so you are limited on some weapons... Avian has enough strength to handle pretty much any weapon, and still pretty solid dex (23). Plus perma-flight, but lacks the magic resistance. Lower exp penalty too...
corpsestomp
First blm? Human, then see how well you play them and pick a race accordingly.

Implementor Anume Posted October 6, 2006 Implementor Report Share Posted October 6, 2006 I'd say Slith, Feral, Halfling, depending on (sub-)cabal choice.
Celerity
There is a bug with feral + blm..so you lose a huge feral perk..also, many of the feral perks are redundant with blm skills, making it a lesser choice. halfling for good/neutral or slith for evil. The resist magic, no exploitable vuln, and 25 dex is unbeatable. Both races have mana issues. Off the top of my head, I can't think of a cabal-blm combo that is better when non-halfling for good/neuts. edit: come to think of it..feral stats themselves were balanced (wrongly) to human stats of 18, and so this is a key reason why feral are a bit weaker than they were made to be. (I know this because I made the race )
