Guest zev
Sigh, just wacked a fully trained 49 shaman and my 50 bmg out of pure frustration. I decided that I should just get to 50 asap and learn pk there. That seems to be a really bad idea. My bmg blew because of being neutral, hard to find good reasons to start fights, and no one ever attacked me. Put him away and rolled my shaman. Holy crap, was just attacked like crazy between 45-49. After 4 deaths today and one mob death trying to reequip I lost it. So...my new plan is to roll up a human DK, get to 30-35 and attack everything that moves. Once I feel more confident, then maybe I'll rank up another 5 and pk like crazy again. Sound like a decent plan? I hate pk at those lower levels, just seems so pointless. But I'm really freaking frustrated and not sure what to do to improve. 5 rounds of battle and I'm dead, 2 hrs of re-equipping for another 5-10 rounds just sucks. Any suggestions? Zrothum
Do what you feel comfortable with. Don't let anyone else pressure you.
Questioner
roll a warrior minotaur or human. Wield a staff and pugil, master defenses and let those crap players try to trash you between 45-49. It feels good to outright kill those lame pkers. You might die to some really experienced players, but trust me, you can learn pk very well with a warrior. That is where I learned my first steps. archgold
or you could do the old annoying thief combo and steal away and laugh at others when they run around angry.....that always cures my bad day.

Kinicky
For the sake of yoru frustration, though, I would steer you away from a DK... I tend to think they lose strength higher up, but that may just be me... I DO know that if I am looking for an evil to kill, and I see a DK, I usually go for that one. 9 out of 10 times, they're an easy kill.
Ajindaar
1. delpass. delpass, delpass, delpass. 2. Once you get into the 50s range, everyone and their pet elf will try to kick your behinds for them a) having a quick stress relief [kind of hand job], and marking their territory [like dogs do, literally p*ssing you off]. Depending on your race/class combo, level up just until you're about to enter their range, take a deep breath and power-rank to 50 asap. If things turn nasty grab your legs and run. They're prepared to fight your race/class, you are prepared to fight mob X. They're 50, you're not. They're spelled up and at full health, you're tired and hurt. Three reasons to not stay and fight. *(2) a small coin lies here.* -Aj'd
Questioner
Dk...last dk I tried was three days ago. Wasn't until rank 9 before I got a mob death to a frickin' citizen...needless to say I am not exactly a newb and delted right then and there. mya
I stoped trying to PK at 30, its so not like pinacle. At 30th you can have rank adavantage, and pick on umprepared untrained Characters or Newbies. While at Pinacle you will fight the Experienced players who knwo their stuff and are prepared. You can look right an see if the player is a newbie or not while PKing him.
Kyzarius
yeah, only real reason to pkill at 30...or be violently pursuent of it is for quest race apps...since these usually require a show of prowess and realm knowledge. Of course RP is equally important, and strong rp will get you what your looking for much quicker than weak rp with strong pk. Train. its may be boring..but the end is always more worth it... train..train..train... a trained toon will come out alive, or the victor in most situations that would SLAUGHTER an untrained toon. EQ is easier to gatehr if you have trained. and you keep it more. I also find it harder to delete a toon i have spent 100+ hours training 30+ skills on before i even reached pinnacle...more personal investment.
