crackwilly21
Oh, I have one! The EXIT command. Especially useful in mazes. Like the shadow grove. Better than scanning sometimes.

Iyorvin
Yeah, I shouldn't do that. I fell for the alt-f4 trick one time. I was new player in a game and asked a question and got that reply. I was too handicapped to hit it simulatan....simultaneously......whatever........and then realized what I was doing when I went for the second time. Iusedtobesomebody
on a side note' date=' is tunneling very useful? Do those that play drows and such use that way to travel or is it more common just to go above ground?[/quote'] learn the Underdark. it will be your friend. "cheaper than a mount, quicker than a gate, more friendly than drunk dwarf, it's the Underdark!" Does not work with all characters. Do not use if you are a healer or any good class that sucks. Not available in all languages. Not responsible if you get lost, starve to death or get swallowed by any Wyrms.

kahlos
Very nice thread!!! Worthy of a ressurect. Learnt a couple of things from here. I'll add some stuff... Things you might not know: -Study removes ghost status. -locate gold is very useful -so is locate corpse -even more is locate gyvel potion if you're a shaman -vanish and push are very underrated and underused. -oh and decoy -and no i dont play a ninja -vampires are actually teddy bears with fangs -you can open doors even if you are blind -the planar blade is one of the most useful weapons to carry in your inventory -if you dont want to be PK'd by Despiser, roll a female character -world shifts can mess up your inventory (watch out for those rares) -If Behrens is an imm -There is an area that throws sh*t at you -Having 'nofollow' off at all times except while with a group is smart -Celerity's true gender Anyways.. I hope you're correct in everything that you posted on this thread Celerity!! Is it true that worldshifts double your hours logged? I don't think it is true as far as cabal promotions are concerned, but not sure if it is in regards to purges.

Dobson
Halflings and faeries also lack vulns' date=' unless you want to consider their tiny size a "vuln". Not really damage enhancing in most cases.[/quote'] Halfers do, so do faes.
Pali
Halfers do' date=' so do faes.[/quote'] Certain MOBS of those races have vulns, but PCs do not to my knowledge.
goldbond
okay as far as i know, halflings DO have a physical/damage-increasing vuln to bash. this is after many years of my giants' ***demo*** bashes on halflings on occasion
Tom
A 2 or 3 sizes difference might account for it, yes?
goldbond
yeah i guess it probably does, i was just thinking it to be a vuln. in the sense that a true vuln must be hardcoded into the race to take extra damage due to something, then halfling-bash is not a vuln. but in the sense that due to the nature of the combat-damage code and sizes in this case, it's pretty much a de facto vuln
Dobson
A vulnerable factor does not have to be hard coded or a damage type vuln. That, they may or may not have. But yes, all races have very identified vulnerabilities, some more than others. Halfers have two very obvious vulns and one not so much. Faes have two obvious vulns. Pali
Yeah, but then I've never seen the inability to use faerie fire/fog as a true vuln, nor their low hp (they only have 14 con, after all). And no, halflings do not have a crush damage vuln. Oldschool gnomes did, and that was removed because it was too extreme and was replaced with the vuln to mental/charm. If faeries have some other vuln, I've never noticed, and I've pinned three faeries.
Guest emp_newb
My number one tip to any newer player is: EXPLORE THE HIGH TOWER IN SHADOW GROVE!
