Rairen
I died once, about five minutes after char creation, to the cloudman. Woke up at my temple, and had gear nearly as good waiting for me in the pit. Sometimes it's not skill, it's dumb luck.
Teralis
Yep met that one the other day I was hoping the gods would have looked at him, I think is waiting for qclass but the things he has is far beyond him and several lvl 50s I have seen, thank god it died. Now we have 3 pre level 30 chars with uber 50 armors, jeesh.

Raargant
RE Rairen: Doubtful that the gear was anywhere as good, as if your level is low enough to be at the newbie area, you can't touch rares. Stop playing bards, and you'll know RE Nomak: No discussion of items, please.

Warpnow
I had a thief one who was at level 35 and waaaaay more decked than that, I had purely godly gear...mostly by sheer luck. I had like two cuffed bracers, two rings of accuracy, two capes of dragonhide...helm of spell turning...fullplate, and my weapons, I remember, were the vorpal sword and a godforged dagger, sheathing a dagger of divinity. I almost cried when my dialup dropped connection and I got back with nothing. People aren't ALWAYS breaking rules when they have kickass gear. If you are playing a thief, and you stick around and train ALOT like I do at rank 30-40, people attack you ALOT...people you can leave naked, taking their better items and selling their lesser...hey, don't judge me, im a frickin thief! Teralis
In this case smarty pants it was a ninja and no one said he was cheating, he just had things that are frowned upon for a lvl 30, and if summoned you will be asked how you got them. Having items at that rank needs to be explained reguardless because of the chance to multi.

I hear that same char got his things back, so it must not have been all dumb luck or multi'ing involved.
Teralis
Jealous, that is friggen hillarious. You just made my day. And as far as him getting his things back good for him errrrr you rather. Taking great offense to a harmless post.
The Forsaken
No rules in having that kind of equip at level 30, but last I checked there were some pretty thin lines about pking with it.
Sneak
Yeah - I was not saying it was wrong with the gear - I just thought it was cool he was actually killed while jumping a hunting group in emerald - that he had levels on. The Forsaken
Oh no doubt it's hillarious, but I'll be he called the group members 'trash' after he died.
Teralis
Having that gear at 30 isnt breaking the rules and I dont recall saying or implying such. I stated that a level 30 with things like that most likely and almost in all cases asked by a god or gods to see just how he, she , it aquires such items. Just ask Rargeant if he does it, he did it to me with two chars and I only had 3 to 4 peices of said armors, then he wrote a note to the other gods explaining how I said I received the items. Also killing with those things isnt to bad except when they plan, intend, and actually clear thier pk range, picking on those with red dragon and with these newer players who havent learned where to get things, some are still wearing the armor from the arena from starting. Chayesh
You are welcome to wear whatever you find legitimately throughout the lands (after the rare block on rank 15's). Some things to remember: Looting in lawful cities is a crime. Being decked in uber gear at low ranks could cause you to be questioned by the IMMs. Using OOC knowledge from a higher ranked character to equip your lower ranked character is a big no-no. Trust me, we see these things. PKing in uber gear higher than your rank not only doesn't impress anyone (are the quest applicants listening?) but will quickly draw the IMMs attention/scrutiny/ire. MeleeCrazy
at thirty there is plenty of obtainable eq that works just fine, even some pretty decent stuff, stuff that i'd even keep using at fifty....you all know what i mean..
Mister E
Using OOC knowledge from a higher ranked character to equip your lower ranked character is a big no-no. Tantangel
Technically you would, but I think he means more along the lines of using your 50, dropping off some armor, logging off and then going there with your newbie to get it and use it to level up. That along with having someone you talk to on AIM to come help you equip in some better gear so that you can rank and/or PK. Just because you make a new character doesn't mean you should forget everything (if you did, PK would be a pain in the *** experience all over again, especially the running part), otherwise you'd have no 50's as all your group members would just get frustrated about all the questions you ask and ditch you, then possibly kill you. MeleeCrazy
yeah that's about what i think he means, thought that is straight up multi i would imagine he meant having knowledge of a slain mob or lootable corpse with a higher level, then using that knowledge with yer low level to quickly go to and loot said corpse or mob. just guessing though.
