Sneak
Hey. I believe that the waiting time before you are able to send your application in as vamp, undead, demon, avatar should be lowered some. I do not believe that the game enjoys having a lot of people staying at 30 waiting. Its cool enough that you are beeing judged for some time - but when people furthermore have to wait to send their applications in we got a lot of people staying low rank for too long - which I do not believe is something desireable. (Also due to my previous post which I believe was a consequence of this subject).
R. Twendrist
Shouldn't this be in ideas?
Sneak
Well its more a discussion theme. Pro's and cons.
FatMike
I don't mind the wait, I do mind full loots at that rank and below but that is another discussion. It gets old waiting and waiting and waiting, but I guess it's got to be done.
Sneak
I think it would decrease the amount of chars at 30 if there was some kind of instant rejection to sort the most obvious no-no's from the potential people. As far as I know the most potential wont run around killing all people and full looting. But maybe I am wrong there.
FatMike
Maybe it would be even better if they were watched even more than some of them obviously are, but I'm not really in a position to do anything about that either.
tassinvegeta
Yeah I agree waiting time should be decreased.
crackwilly21
If so, it should only be decreased slightly. The whole thing about waiting at that rank is dedication, if you don't have it, you don't deserve the opportunity.
Malchaeius
If waiting time is decreased, then rejections will be increased. If the IMMs do not hear anything about your character in that shorter amount of time, nor do they get to interact with your character, they will just reject you unless you have an amazing application. Having this much time actually increases your chances at impressing someone and having your application accepted.
Balinor
Waiting time isn't all that bad. Do a lot to get noticed, and you'll be accepted quickly. With Kevoniki, I applied for Vampire around level 23, after I finished my training. Totaled up 15 PKs, with 0 deaths. Started RPing. Talked to some heralds, and RPed with Eshaine, Krounoi, and some other IMMs, for extensive periods of time. Got accepted for vampire two days later. With regard to my PKs... Chayesh was very impressed, I understand, because every PK I started, I finished. The only person I didn't kill was my sixteenth PK, and it was some Paladin, who later got Crusader. Dale
I have never been denied to send an app, I usually wait about 40-70 hours when I finish training and rp and pk a bit.
Tantangel
Yeah, that wait time to send in an application is rather low as is IMO. I mean REALLY low. If you're mastering all your things in that amount of time and still can't send in your application, you best be telling me how to train for future refrences when I poke in from time to time, because training is hell and I want to cut my training down to a bare minimum. Sirax
I dont think the waiting time is that bad at all, I myself have found the main worry is whether the Imms recieved my app. If there was a note saying something like "the attention of the gods is upon you or word has reached the gods of your desires", then at least I would know the app has been recieved and I wouldnt have to pester the Imms. I have also found there to be a lot of presure placed on pk, it seems you have to have a degree of kills under your belt without having been killed yourself, so once mistake can be very frustrating. My whole view on pk at 30 range has changed after I battered down a berserker and spared him using mercy, I let him live and tried to spark up some rp, what happens, yep Rp'ing in Val miran, he comes in and smashes me. The lessons learnt are kill, kill, kill. Then rp when their dead and probably full looted, less chance you will be killed and thus losing your immaculate worth. Just my views. That said writing an app can enhance your characters development or in some cases end it. But anything that gets an interaction of rp with the Imms is always good. Sneak
Problem is with a lot of classes there is no inbetween rp and pk. Warriors, zerks and darkknights are dead meat if they stand up chatting - letting their guard down as they are severely lagable, dont have protective spells, shield, sanc etc.
Nomak
The time is fine as it is because this way if your app is not good enough you can still get accepted. The fighter classes are dead meat but if you prove that you are skilled Pk'er nobody is going to attack you.I like it because after I suck at writing applications I can qclass with many other ways for that time.
