Question on HP gain.

So we know that you should save your trains to 50 because the MUD makes sure you gain hp/mp according to the race/class "norm". What about equipment that reduces/increases hp/mp? Will wearing a couple rusted medallion make you get better HP gain or, conversely, will wearing two brooces of life make your hp gain much worse?

When you get a levelgain, your current, not base stats are taken into account. If you have an item that lowers your con 2 points, it uses the modified con to calculate hpgain. Likewise, if you wear a -200 hp spiked undie set, you are more likely to get more hp per level. You are only more likely in that the cap is removed so:

Normally you might get randomly between 12-18 hp a level. However, if you have a high hp, it might cap at 16..so you can get 12-16. If you have really low health, you just remove the cap. You won't suddenly get 19 hp a level. The cap lowers it 10% or something, so even if you have a really high hp, it won't make a huge difference. However, it does perfectly void the +hpgain at level perk making that useless.

Case in point: There isn't a difference between low and normal hp, so unless you have really high hp for what you should, you don't need to worry about it.

Edit: I'm fairly sure it uses modified stats, but I can't look since I'm at school so....

Really not so hard: Just look at what she said:

Well some spells check for true sex (I can't even say this better), maybe that happens for HP levels on true HP (maybe it happens for hpgain during leveling too).

Not that i seen HP levels code, or ever seen true HP. (I've never seen the code or the base hp)

I really have little problem reading her posts..and I tend to even like them :P

She is just making the point that since some spells check for 'real' stats, that when you gain a level, it might check for real stats too.
