brsingr
i saw it in the max rolls, but.. has anybody here actually rolled a 55 for a half elf? EDIT: oh, and does the short perk make it easier to train hide? cuz i remember thinking it made it maxed to start with, then making a char w/ it and having it be at normal. Deykari
I once got a 56 with a H-elf Monk, I am 95% sure of it. 55, yes, numerous times, again, with a H-elf monk. Dey
brsingr
ever on an adventurer?thinkin bout makin one.
Deykari
Nope, never tried for a H-elf adventurer. Worth a shot. IMO you shouldn't get all pent up over getting the max roll, doesn't really matter much in the long run. Dey
Belegriel
I have and continue to roll alot of characters. I go for 1 less than the max because it doesn't take as long to get the roll and it doesn't hurt it that much to use 1 extra train for that 1 you didn't get at creation. But, I won't accept less than 1 less than the max.

Pali
Take short perk, get to where you have hide, type skills, check your prof there, then type "prof self hide" and see what the difference is.
mya
I personaly think hide is regular enuff for you not to take the short perk. There are more interesting perks.
Fiere
Word. I've only failed hide once in a blue moon at mastery, definitely don't need the short perk.
corpsestomp
And hide is really easy to master, especially with a certain non-rare item on the ground.
mya
Hide is easy to master. Perioud... The only skills that are more easely mastered are Peek and Mounted Combat. Now Mounted combat, that goes fast....
