tassinvegeta
I've got a question about the new skill harden defense. Is it one of those spells similar to a battlemage's where it gets better with proficiency or is it useless to train past 75%?
Dale
All spells are better trained to 100%. Even if it is to stop losing your concentration all the time.
tassinvegeta
Scew training a spell with such a high mana cost and a low mana class. Well this one doesn't get higher in proficiency while defending so I'm guessing theirs no point. But now I don't even remember if the battlemages defenses rise in proficiency while defending or not. Behrens
It does help to have it higher. There is currently a bug where it does not improve on shield block. This bug will be fixed as soon as I get to a client to change it. You're welcome.

Dale
Terra shield does as well. Not that I ever noticed. I haven't played many battlemages though.

This bug will be fixed as soon as I get to a client to change it. ie. Harden defense will increase in proficiency when you perform a successful shield block, no need to spam! Dale
Well all the bmgs I did play I mastered all my defense spells before I really used them.

Fear, the Angel's Name
What does the spell actually do, again? The helpfile is a little vague. Maybe I was just drunk when I read it.
a-guitarist
I'd say you were too drunk. It makes sense to me, but I'm not sure if I can share what it does. a-g
Lexi
As long as you use the spell and a shield, you will have an easier time blocking attacks made with staffs. After all, staff is the only weapon type dark-knights doesn't know.
Behrens
Think about it this way. You're a haughty, self-righteous bastard of a DK. Some dumb ogre can beat you up with a stick, since you don't know how to use it. What is your solution? If you said "learn how to use a stick", you're wrong. The solution is OBVIOUSLY complex magical incantations.
a-guitarist
So Dark Knights are my girlfriend's mother, only instead of complex magical spells, she has complex lies and paranoia... hm. Now I know her class, I'll just have to figure out how best to fight a DK with a level 10 Malform of the Guile religion. a-g

Chromatic
Now how are ogres supposed to keep these dark knights from getting qraces and qclasses?
Fear, the Angel's Name
I am glad, at least, that it requires dk's to take a defensive stance (using a shield) because if it didn't, that might be a little too much.
mya
I dont see it, shield where already the recomended defence against staves. And: [10/29/06]: Dark Knights have gained new weapons What new weapons ? They onyl lacked staff.
Lexi
New weapons as in new abilities to combat their opponents.
