Iyorvin
Tough day for you all. Mid terms. Looking bleek right now. I'm cheering for the democrats, and so far it's really tight. www.cnn.com

WarriorCleric
Every damn election I sit watching CNN with anticipation, and every election I tell myself, next year just go to bed, it's a waste of time to watch Wolf say the same **** over and over again (though if I have to watch commentary, I'd prefer it to be Wolf, until Jon Stewart comes on, that is.) And even though I'm not really Pro Democrat, I find myself Anti Republic for no real reason most of the time. That being said I'm feeling pretty good about the House, it's the senate that's got me on the edge of my seat. But in the end I don't think it's going to be a huge difference if blue takes both house and senate, more of a titled victory than a substance victory. We'll get more back patting than policy changes from this. WC

CruelEdict
Republican? Democrat? Who cares. Two sides of the same coin, at this point. Neither will have the balls to do what this nation needs, so we can only hope that recent hardships for the Republicans cause its fractioning into two parties that will break apart the Two Party system we have had forcefully. We need that. We need people to realize there are other options than the Republocrats. Hence, I did not vote. If I had a Party that represented my interests, I would. Instead of voting for who I like least, I just don't. Of course, that assumes my vote counts at all anyhow!

CruelEdict
Doesn't bother me. I laugh at the National Socialist nuts myself. They are actually planning on running in '08, which makes my own political views unable to be taken seriously. Rather frustrating, actually. 2008: Vote Neo-Nazi! corpsestomp
I personall do not vote, because I do not complain about the way the government(s) is run. Honestly, I would be a misinformed voter, and I wouldn't want to win an election if a bunch of people voted for me just because they didn't like the other guy. Iyorvin
And the reason I want the Demo's to win? http://www.net.org/warming/cop12_background.vtml Only the Bush Administration and Australia oppose fighting global warming. It's funny, must be the rest of the world who are wrong. And on a side note, Clinton/Gore made HUGE steps for the environment, and America would of been one of the leaders. I just hope they will resume their dedication when/if the Demo's take control in 2008. Also, Clinton/Gore still fight for environment awareness in the US and abroad right now. If the Republicans put as much care into it as the Clinton/Gore admin did, then I would of praised Bush. But you can't afford to help the environment when you're off freeing the world, and now are over 9trillion in debt.

Iyorvin
Nah 49:49 still, demo's have 6k votes up in virginia and will prob win there. Montana is a iffy, the Demo's have a TINY lead, with only 2k votes to count. So should be close call. If it goes 50:50 then Cheney will have authority to break tie votes, so basically the republicans will have control.

Chayesh
What you're going to find though, with several of the House pickups, especially in the South, is that you have some very conservative democrats now in office who are not in lockstep with the more "infamous" liberal democrat rank and file. The one that jumps out at me during broadcasts last night is Heath Shuler in NC. If you read his bio and see his ads, you'd swear you were watching a typical republican advert. Southern democrats are not always counted on to be the same as freaky California democrats or Northeast democrats, as they rarely share the liberal viewpoints and socialist ideals and marriage to fringe special interests that have somehow taken over what used to be a party about the working man and the blue collar middle class. Belegriel
The margin of victory in VA is low enough that by state law they have to recount, not by anyone having to ask for one.
