Imoutgoodbye
Having played a Healer and knowing that some Healers are taking a bunch for various reasons when someone doesn't get a resurrection, I"d just like to point out and say that... Resurrections are a privilege. Not a right. Even the most bleeding heart healer will eventually snap over this.
BobcatFan
To retort that, my storm healer Savitol would ALWAYS drop what he was doing, mid-awesome hunt against undead, equipping etc. to res someone. I think its what a healer is supposed to do. It makes me angry sometimes when I need a res and some healers use this excuse "Im far away" How hard is it to summon pig, and gate. There are few exceptions where a healer shouldnt be able to take a bit of time and res someone. the only time I think I ever denied someone was these two instances 1. Kronit/Sinerath was taking the standard, and I had to pretend like i could defend it 2. Val was under attack by treants/elementals and my rp was certainly that I wouldnt let innocent people be attacked because of watcher. Just my two cents. I had the healer for 180+ hours. I had alot of "come bring me to life" I feel its your duty to do what you can to help another soul.

And what some would say is the cookie cutter Healer. If a neutral ever complained about the amount of time I was taking and I wasn't in the mood, he didn't get one. If some good DEMANDED I come to him, he didn't get one. A Healer DOES NOT have to resurrect you.

Iusedtobesomebody
all this is moot. 'cause healers suck.
Pali
Yes he/she does...if he/she's not getting married or saving a rabbit. FIN :-D No, they don't. I've never seen it said anywhere that healers MUST resurrect people. There's ample incentive to do so, but I've never seen it stated that it's required of them to do it. Questioner
Healers can't die...henceforth they have the right to have to immediately ressurect someone who asks for it. Dam healers nowadays can just say they are busy or that they won't ressurect a (race) scum. No matter the align.
elfdude
Be nice, its as easy as that. They are doing YOU the favor.
BobcatFan
Yeah, dont demand the res, but you shouldnt have to beg for it, because the healer is too busy not doing anything.
BobcatFan
I guess my next healer is going to rp that he cant gate to res anyone. I wonder if anyone will buy it?
J.Twendrist
Healers are kinda pointless at the moment, since they only help mob deaths. Also, if healers are supposed to be saintly ect and respect all life reguardless of affiliation (hence why they cant attack anyone) why can't they raise any regular person who dies? If they are there soley to help anyone who lives.
Fiere
Healers are kinda pointless at the moment, since they only help mob deaths. How does that make them pointless? That's the whole reason I like Healers!
jb5679
I guess its just me, but when I play neutral or good and I die, I don't even ask for a healer ressurect, just pride I spose
goldbond
i've never once asked for one either. then again i never had 50+ -death, total cabal strife, RP crazy character either. but i did always feel it would be very embarrassing to actually send a tell asking for one. Pali
What's wrong with taking advantage of resurrections? They're part of the perk of being good/neutral.
goldbond
nothing at all. i just said i never ask for them. mainly because i cant imagine a legitimate request RP-wise as someone who just died. and often times a more diligent healer will just show up anyway. WarriorCleric
When I was imming, I liked to follow the neutral res beggers and watch what they died to. When they died to a good mob, and a healer came in an resed them, I surely gave those healers a hard time. Not because I cared so much, but just because I like giving hard times. L-A
I like healers res'ing people I kill. I get to kill them again. And then I get to kill the healer. L-A PS - next time you die, don't be a puss. Put the healer on ignore
Pali
Yeah, but since healers are useless on pdeaths now, nobody bothers calling for one. But that was the favored tactic back in the day. ^_~
BobcatFan
I think healers are also good for noobs to explore with. I walked all over the place, into all kinds of bad stuff with savitol. Pretty fun though. Its pretty hard to die with a healer. Lots of fun though.
