Thats kind of ignorant. I dont see many good aligned character being so snobby that they cant get a resurrection from a healer. Its foolish to turn something like that down. I suppose it could be your rp to be a loner but then again, I hope not everyone that plays a good aligned character uses that lame rp.

should have mentioned that on my storm healer, i res'ed pro-actively no tell required. although i got plenty anyway. when i logged on it was like punching a clock on the res job. and that's not to belittle it, but i actally enjoyed "co lo corpse" for 1-3 hours every session. and often times RP ensued b/c c'mon you're getting res'ed, what else is there to do. i actually really enjoyed the healer on a couple levels.

oh also i engaged in that peckerwood gating to an undead player and cursing him and doing a couple rounds of damage and gating off. that was before i think you could gate to a player directly. then i read the forum and saw LA in the forums, saying (basically) "healers that gate randomly to undeads are POS's." and i thought "omg, he's right why do i do that anyway?" and i NEVER DID IT AGAIN.

oh and yeah wc, if some neut's corpse showed up in emerald, i would gate there just to be nosy, but obviously some dude's corpse with a quite a few wounds or whatever nymph standing there = a smirk and a gate.

i really did have fun with that healer sometimes, looking back now.

bobcat i dont really see wrong with anyone's RP to refuse resurrections. even if it were cookie cutter, it's not "lame."

I'm probably gonna sound like a loser, but I love playing Healers, its honestly because its my favorite class, I can be prepared with them I can hold my own in battle, and even manage to get a kill or two if done right, they may have been flukes but hey you know, I've played at least 4-5 that I can remember, I had Alexia, Trib, Alana who was a leader of old justice for a while right after shaw, and my recent one before i took a month or so off was Rialis who as a Knight Healer, I'm not tryin to toot my own horn and Raefion(sp) and Morchial may feel free to disagree with me but I thought I did really well, I could hold my own against morchial who is a beast, and I did manage to kill Raefion(again sp). I do love to res people because of the bonus I get but if they are an *** i will ignore it, such as I res-ed someone by Jhaerek he was complainin because it was failin, he actually started yelling at me that I was horrible and that this was taking too long and I needed to hurry, well needless to say I went to sleep an charged my mana up abit and gated away. I had to ignore him eventually which I hate to do but if he keeps sending obnocious tells to me it clutters up my screen and distracted me.

Oh well my 2 cents.

see, my long term healer was against justice healers. i mean hardcore, i would just fight them in town because irl i couldnt see a justice healer as any but a heretic. trying to imprison and execute followers of the One God as too freaking much. i mean irl how could some healer see another healer beating down some goodie in the street and sending him to his death? i just couldnt get how a healer could be in justice or trib now.

I've played a few healers and enjoyed them. I played Legari, a Tribunal, one whos name I can't remember that didn't get very far, and Haroen. Haroen was by far my favorite character ever. He was an undead herald healer, and I was constantly in RP with just about everyone. It was a major blast. Also, a plus to healers is that you get lots of xp from ressurections, which is great for people like me who hate hunting.

and actually celerity i can totally see what you mean. but i then i do think that as a healer you should be able then to fight or kill a fellow then without fear of outcast. i mean to take total realism rp to that level some non-justice healer should be allowed to fight to save a life and get away with it.

I agree that pacifism is really binding on a healer's rp, and I don't even really understand why goods can't kill goods in general.

It is less about RP and realistic 'sense', and more about balance and not wanting to rewrite the whole game from scratch....I think.

If healers can counterattack, I think they should be able to preemptively attack. If they can preemptively attack, may as well just let them attack. No matter what they do, by simply living they affect PK balance (anything from straight to healing to eq holding/gathering). If the reasoning is RP, then the case is not valid (in context of other classes). If the reasoning is PK balance...maybe?

Personally, I think align should be more race based than the overall 'good and evil' concept, but that is far beyond the scope this conversation. Make more use of reputation in new coding changes :D:D!

i get it. to balance out the density of pdeaths of justice, to grant members fly, and various exclusive protections in exchange for the fact that trib members die a lot faster. so they need their own doctors.

at any rate yeah i think good on good violence should be acceptable in some select cases.

In Tribunal: ethos > align.

You don't have to sentence everyone that gets put in jail to death granted sometimes its automatic, but sometimes you have a choice, i'd rather let them sit there for the 80billion hours(exagurating) then give them 12 ticks and death, thats how i've always played my justice/trib healers.

Makes me want to roll a healer now :(

Every time you feel like signing in to FL for the next two days, Boil some tea, turn the tv on really loud to some talk show, have friends call you every three minutes for favors, then just start slapping yourself in the face over and over and don't stop. That's pretty much playing a healer; sitting around having 'deep' talks, drinking tea, constantly getting interupted when you are actually doing something you want to do for reses and people will just keep attacking you and attacking you(most won't kill you, but it will get annoying).

Define successful with a healer. Having the biggest tea party? Having MUDsex with the most elf whores? Resurrecting the most newbs?

Oh, you mean PKing with a healer. Hence why one, if not both of those healers got outcasted. We've established that PKing with a healer isn't hard. Why boast about it?;)

PS - Which and who are both pronouns. Don't use them to describe a single subject. ;)
