Goomf
How much of the old prophecy still applies? I noticed recently that 'help bloodletting' doesn't show anything. The purpose of the Knights has changed. Is the history of how FL came into fruition disregarded now? While browsing old posts, I'm especially interested in this: The History and Prophecies of Thera In the First Age of Thera (1-386 B.C.), Damnel, the Seer Prophet of Thalos, spoke of a great disaster that would bring Armageddon to Thera. With the end of the Month of the Grand Struggle, a great Cataclysm brought an end to Theran life. As the Second Age of Thera (1-595 P.C.) came to rise and man was once again brought into the world from the Ethereal Nexus, the books of Damnel were uncovered in the North Forests of Banor, and brought into the Temple of Sreyb to be deciphered by the scholars of the time. Once deciphered, it spoke of the rise and fall of the Fourth Age of Thera (800-1200 P.C.), and spoke of the Four Prophecies that would come to pass in the Fifth Age of Thera (1200 P.C. - present). As Thera came out of the Second Age and prospered into the Third Age (595-800 P.C.), more secrets of the Book of Damnel were learned. This was documented in the Prophecy of the Coming (Help Prophecy1). A great death to Thera was also imminent, as documented in the Prophecy of the Shadowkin (Help Prophecy2). During this Fourth Age, Thera would change forever. New breeds of people would cross the Great Chasm, and come to fight in the last battle. (Help Prophecy3). If Thera made it into the Fifth Age, the Fourth Prophecy would never come true (Help Prophecy4). As Thera now stands in the Fifth Age, forces battle to ensure the Fourth Prophecy remains a fable. The First Prophecy of Damnil (The Prophecy of the Coming) As translated by Miruvhor, Grand Wizard of the Savants, 487 P.C. "And so the Bright Darkness came to pass. The world knew the darkness that had consumed it once by sheer will of the Gods above, and Thera was forever changed. From the ashes came great cities that once again were built by the men whom the Gods allowed to enter from the Ethereal Nexus, and the Second Age had come to pass. But this age is not import- ant, as the ages that follow will lead mankind into their greatest struggle yet. Three men, chosen of the people, will come to rise in power in the Third Age of Thera. They will be great heroes of the people, and the men of the lands will follow and respect them. They battle not for light or darkness, but for life only. These avatars, named the Lion, the Bull, and the Hawk will be noted by the brands of nature on their arms. It is at this time that the powers of Darkness and Death will enter the lands, and the Great Drought and Famine will sweep Thera. The entrance into the Fourth Age will come when the Great Chasm expands, and rivers run red with blood." The Second Prophecy of Damnil (The Prophecy of the Shadowkin) As translated by Baer Kan, Last Druid of the T'Gal Trea, 502 P.C. "The trees burn, the seas boil, and the forces of death roll like a thick tide of decay from the Grand Chasm, a tear in time opened up by the darklords themselves. One a God of Chaos, one a God of Death, their names remain hidden, but their faces and hands remain seen. The Blood- letting has begun, and the Chaos Demons and the Army of the Undead pour into Thera, slaying all they see that lives. From the ashes come the three avatars, the Lion, the Bull, and the Hawk. They rally the living into a city of wonders among a desolate desert. As the armies of the lesser heroes fall, the three avatars fight the Chaos Demons, these Shadowkin, and emerge victorious as the armies of the Damned fall to pieces." The Third Prophecy of Damnil (The Prophecy of Origins) As translated by Sepphuc the Chaste, Third Light of Miran, 508 P.C. "As the Shadowkin were pushed back into the Chasm, the armies of men not- iced new breeds of peoples fighting by their sides. From the darker corners of Thera they had come to fight, but the armies of men wondered why this would be. The leaders would hold the answers. They await the Dreadlords (Help Dreadlord). Five souls born of true evil. They would be selected in the Fifth Age of Thera by the God of Chaos, and the God of Death, and they would be harbingers for a new reign of death that would begin with them as the fulcrum. So, the Ogres and the Faeries waited in Thera, awaiting the day when the Lion, the Bull, and the Hawk would be reborn to lead them against the Dreadlords." The Fourth Prophecy of Damnil (The Prophecy of the Rebirth) As translated by Remnar, High Seat of House Torien, 610 P.C. "As the Fifth Age progresses, the men and women of Thera will prosper, though conflict will ever remain evident. Cabals will rise in power, as will the forces of the Undead and the forces of Chaos. From these powers will be selected five beings. They will earn the titles of Dreadlords, and will harness both Death and Chaos to battle humanity. But from the mortals of Thera, the Lion, the Bull, and the Hawk will rise again to battle the Dreadlords. These men are the Theran Wind (Help THERANWIND), and will battle the Dreadlords at the Battle of K'ai Manuul, at the Last Fortress of Chaos, and will fight the Gods of Death and Chaos during Morgrendoon, in the Blasted Lands. As these cities fall, the Theran Wind will be victorious. But as the cities live, Thera is doomed to destruction." <1049/1050h 1253/1253m 399/399mv 28178g 13h 66589exp> help dreadlord HELP DREADLORD Shadowspawn, the God of Chaos, and Virigoth, the God of Death have ordained themselves the task of keeping with the Prophecy of the Rebirth. From these books they shall select among the mortals five Dreadlords. Shadowspawn will select two, Virigoth will select two, and one shall be chosen as leader between both of them. These men will ensure victory against the Theran Wind, and will be held in the highest esteem among all Darkwalkers in Thera. You do not apply, you are selected. Any who apply will be denied, and killed. The Theran Wind In Accordance with the Fourth Prophecy, the Theran Wind consists of the Lion, the Hawk, and the Bull. The Gods who reign in the heavens and battle the forces of Shadowspawn and Virigoth will one day choose three avatars to battle the Dreadlords at the Final Battles. Athaekeetha, Raght, and Helaman will choose the final warriors to defend Thera from the onslaught. One does not apply for this honor, they are chosen. Imoutgoodbye
With the Death of Sirant towards the end of the Theran Wind Prophecy (don't quote me on that, I'm not sure that's when it happened) and with the passing of Virigoth being cast down and smote (not sure if that happened either) the world was spent spinning out of control and there was a whole new FL? I'm murky on all this right now....tired....
