Iusedtobesomebody
ok, so the wife got me elder scrolls 3: morrowind, and that big fat reference book which weighs 5 pounds. anyway, i'm a level 2 dark knight (custom class), and am getting creamed by the so-called "beginner" dungeons! i know the world is huge, and there is an unlimited amount of things to do/kill, but really, how experienced do you have to be to be a beginner?! just bugged me to no end, there's this dude with an axe that kills me with 3 or 4 hits. just a rant, i'll go back and keep trying. Raargant
Morrowind is a PAIN to start off with...but it pays off with a rich and humongous world to play in.
Fiere
Daggerfall was like my favorite game ever, so I'm sure Morrowind has gotta ROCK hardcore style.
Vobbe
I always used to have athletic as a primary skill and jump my way through the first levels =)
Streetfighter
Yeah, Morrowind was always bad for the crappy hard start, but once you get past it, the game is awesome *drools* although they did fix that in Oblivion, Oh how I love Oblivion, got a lvl 10 mage and he SUCKS, my lvl 7 warrior owns everything though. Grishnak
Oblivion takes Morrowind and wipes its butt with it, in all honesty. Except it's also ridiculous.

Fear, the Angel's Name
Morrowind is difficult to start out with, I recommend following the main storyline for a bit until you are ordered to go 'get some experience, adventure beneath your belt' or something like that, and then join a guild, do guild quests, level up your primaries. Stay away from the dungeons for now, as until you hit about level 8 they are pretty hard, even the beginner dungeons. When you finally start getting some nice equipment and higher levels you will be able to adventure and hold your own in some of the more fantastic areas of the game. I actually traveled around (in a circular path) the entire island of Vvardenfell before I'd reached level 10, but I was a nord crusader.
Rensvert
Morrowind was a pain pretty much the whole way around unless you get the expansions then the game started to get cooler however Oblivion is great! I've got a lv 21 mage who could kill pretty much everything he came across, and Im working on my thief, assassin who happens to be a Vampire and as long as its at night I can pretty much take out anything, mental note be a Vampire if you dont mind paying attention to the "in game" time the bonuses you get are greatly worth the minor dissadvantages that you recieve. P.S. In Morrowind make sure you get the "cursed" warewolf ring, definitly worth your time!
Pali
I have a vampire assassin in Oblivion, and OH man is he awesome. Unbreakable lockpick, armor that grants permanent chameleon... perfect thief/assassin. Can sneak into anywhere and steal anything.
WagesofSin
I loved playing "enchanter" type classes in Morrowind where I could create pieces of armor/weapons that made me godlike. Don't forget to try and kill Vivec when you pwn most of the game!

Raargant
Oblivion is too cheesy, because of exactly what you talked about, Pali: perma 100% chameleon. CHEESY!

Pali
Oh, it's not 100%. EDIT: Do agree it's cheesy though. Hence why I play FL instead of Oblivion.
'tarako
'Morrowind is much better than oblivion. The text boxes in morrowind are much better than the characters talking to me, and it's just better all around. FL is better, but you've gotta like the custom classes. Find better armor and train up that armor skill before you take on the axe guy, or try ranged weapons.
Bobo
I must admit I found the lack of multiplaying to be fatal for my desire to play it - I hardly ever play games where I cant be more people now a-days.
