songofsixpence
Alright, so I'm trying to see if I can find some suggestions here. Recently I had to format my comp and re-install WinXP. However, now that I have done so, my scrolling feature moves sluggishly. Whether I am in a web browser, scrolling through my HD or anything else that uses the scroll bar, it responds very slowly and jerkily. Any suggestions on what I can do to fix this? Last time this happened it seemed to fix itself around the time I started filling up my HD, but I fail to see how that would actually fix my problem and I'm fairly sure that was just coincidence. And I know I'm clean of spyware/viruses, so that's not the problem.
WarriorCleric
Goto mouse options and see how many lines it scrolls with each notch of the wheel. Control Panel> Printers and other Hardware > Mouse > Wheel Tab Edit: upon rereading your question, that's probably not the type of problem you are asking for help with. Sorry, lots of mouse problems at work lately, kinda stuck in mouse mode. WC
WarriorCleric
How long has it been doing this? WC
songofsixpence
Edit: about 12 hours, ever since I did the format and clean install.
jb5679
Have you attempted to install new graphics drivers? My computer generally does that when I reformat until I update those.
songofsixpence
ah...a good point, i'll try that edit: works quite well now, the graphic drivers were indeed the issue. i must have forgotten that i had to do that after my last re-install
