WagesofSin
Holy crap. Why didn't anyone tell me about this before?! Being able to create your own affects list is extremely useful. Someone needs to update a newbie essay that mentions this. For those who have no idea what I'm talking about, type help affects. It will tell you how to create your own list of spells/skills and will really help you notice what spells you are missing.
WagesofSin
It even shows when the spells are about to fall! Just. Awesome.

Kyzarius
would be nice...to have the ability to designate the number of the custom affect as a prompt display like.. [1][4][6][4] 800/800hp 1000/1000m 450>n e w u> that way you can have your real important timers on display.

Deykari
Dey' date=' you played Wymsi without the affects list? Oh my lord...[/quote'] I used the affects list, the standard one, with all the bless does x and x for x amount of hours. I didn't know how to do the custom one though. Dey
jb5679
The custom one is where you make it so lets say you want to watch bless, sanctuary, protective shield, and protection, you put in all the stuff for it(giving 3 letter abbreviations to each spell) and type affect and youd see Bless San Prs Pro - 5 0 12 where - means you don't have it up and the other numbers are normal hour links till it drops (also, when the hours for a spell drop to 1 or 0, it changes the color of the number). very cool Edit: each of those numbers are sposed to be under a single affect, sorry bout that

Celerity
I use triggers, buttons, and colors so I can just look at the top of my screen and see what spells are on and off easily.
mya
I put them on the Zmud bar at the bottom, so that i dont have to look up. Everytime i cast a protective spell it goes into the (satus) bar and stays there till it falls. And i have a Santuary counter associated with my tick so that i always know when its about to fall. I got to tired of dieing to sermon lag + path just when my sant droped. Never understanded how the new afects worked. Anyone wish to make a FAQ thing with examples ? Zrothum
Battlemage is about the only class I've ever found it extremely useful for. And wow was it nice.

Marc
Have you guys never heard of this? I've been using it for ages. Couldn't play my cleric without it.
Archbishop Monk
Ok, now I feel like an Old-timer I've used it for quite some time. As a matter of fact, since I came back I've been using it on all my chars. Very easy to see what is about to drop when a shaman or has you lit up like a christmas tree. Or even useful when on the run or chasing.
corpsestomp
I put everything that I would normally cast on myself on it, armor, shield, sanc, class skills/spells. That way, when I have mals or other stuff on me, I know how long the extra stuff will last.
corpsestomp
Hmm, a FAQ-type-thing mya? Basically, you type 'aff "#" "three letter combination to denote it" "spell effect". Example: Say you are playing a cleric, and so you put in some of your defensive spells: aff 1 arm armor aff 2 shi shield aff 3 pro protection This would show up as: - - - arm shi pro If you hadn't cast them yet. If you do cast them... 24 24 24 arm shi pro And when the number gets down to 1 or 0 it turns red. Now obviously, you can change the 3-letter combination, but with a little bit of experimentation, you should figure it out. Edit: You have to have the fully correct syntax in part of the spell effect. Specifically, a battlemages blades is not 'blades' it is 'control blades' so you should cast the spell, and whatever spell effect shows up on the list in what should be put in. edit(spelling/grammar)
