Iusedtobesomebody
Knowledge of equipment is far better than the equipment themselves. Playing weapons vs. classes is a huge advantage I see people ignoring more often than not. People still pump their hitroll up, and ignore weapon advantage hoping their gear will push them over the hump. Knowledge of the lands, the classes, the races (and their vulns) and basic strategy are still paramount to 'the best shinies'. Does the better gear help? Of course it does. Is it the be and end all? No. Gold is fine where it is. It's there for you, if you spend a little time and effort. Granted, you'll not see the 14 million bankroll I had in 1.0, but it's out there for you to get. The bounty system itself is fine. It's the people who put 10k on a cabal leader and then whine when it's not collected that are the problem. You get what you pay for. Requesting is fine. It's the price you pay for being a good. It's a dual-edged sword. People don't complain about it when they get what they want, only when the 1 time out of 10 the get noticed by an enemy. C'mon. As far as ranking, few players means few groups. As we grow, this will be less and less of a problem. As it sits now, I put the blame on pinns who don't aid the clan mates by ranking them. They're working for the same goals you are, aiding them is aiding yourself. Bash is not that big of a deal. There are ways around it, as has been stated. It's the price you pay for not playing a class with prot shield. What's next? Trip is overpowered? Get a roller, suck it up. 1.0 cabals were IMM-inducted. 2.0 cabals were player-inducted. We're progressing in the area we want, in where both take some sort of role. Ride it out, and you might be surprised.

That or Despair even fighting each other for a spot in Nexus.[/quote'] RP it. If you want to RP a Despair member fighting over the last spot in Nexus, send a note to Malch saying "I'm helping this guy rank so that I can prove I'm so superior I don't fear you picking him over me no matter what rank he is". I've always been one who thinks that sending a quick note of your character's motivations (IC, of course), to the IMMs. We like knowing stuff like that about your character, and it'll increase your chances of getting in, as well as helping the playerbase get ready to rock. It could be a journal regarding what's been happening to the character and how he came to be. It would flesh out the character and prove greater incentive for players to rp. From what I've seen recently in my brief bouts, lack of rp isn't the issue anymore. It's building upon that fundamental of rp knowledge that is prevailent among the playerbase that we should be focusing on.

Aulian
DISCLAIMER: I didnt bother to read anyone elses posts really so if anything is repeated. tough. GOLD?!- ah on one of my characters it took 2 wks at pinn to make my first three million... Gold is easy to come by if you want to make the effort. Bounties could be upped a little, I like how more expensive bounties are accorded to people of position, like putting a bounty on suunmar will cost like no less then 225K or something like that. Banks fees are a little harsh, but hell... Keeping your gold safe MUST come at a cost. Cabal points are important, they are deserved aswell for reward and for getting things done such as votes and so forth. Also some cabals rely on cabal points to create armies/raids. Ranking must take a long period. its the learning part of the game, hell try and play a blademaster at 50 without the ranking learning stage and lets see how far you get. Um if you want to take freebies from mobs that the rest of us non-goodies wanna take... Ah, expect to get lagged and romped.Expect nothing for free, the world isnt a nice cuddly place in FL, I will find your weakness and exploit it. On cabal system, I say the L should have alot more power, I mean when I was L of Watcher I could not even induct into the cabal or promote where I saw fit.. I dunno, just think player should have a little more power, especially at that point. (Achieving a position such as L). BUT! Everything can be worked out through communication, you speak/interact with your cabal immortal and they will give you more reign. Even if it has to be unpersonal and a note. Imms appreciate feedback as much as players do. MORE COMMUNICATION I SAY! sometimes we all need a little guidance. Meh thats my 2cents and its FREE. peace. EDIT: Oh yeah and im late 1.
