Pali
I don't think I've sat and played FL at 6AM in four years. Damn I wish I could sleep right now... but I have to play babysitter for the party and make sure they don't make too much noise. Damned roommates. ^_~ Anyone share my pain? mya
That is the problem. When you are babysiting drunks its awfull. My advice is to get drunk also so that at least you can have some fun. And what is the problem with playing FL at 6AM in the morning ?
BigMac
Babysitting drunks is teh laem. I only babysit a person once in their entire life. Once. Then they're cut off. I never babysit a group of douchebags. I'd just go punch them all in their collective drunken head.
Pali
Not truly babysitting, just making sure they stay somewhat quiet and let my roommate get some sleep. Ah well. They gave me lots of free booze and drugs by way of compensation.

This is also supposed to be a PG-13 site unless that has also changed. It is nice to talk with buddies, but this **** needs to stay at home. mya
Healers dont do drugs. That is normaly thiefes and ninjas. Now seriously. Drugs might look fun now. But when you get a bit older and your health starts to pay for the mistakes of the past you wont be so happy. And heavy drinking brings the same. Im not even 30 and i already cannot take the drunking beating i used to without being sick for a few days.

If it is, I'm sure the mods'll let me know and/or change things. And Mya, I'm well aware of the health risks involved in my actions. I've done my homework, and I know what I put into me. Hence the joys of moderation instead of binges. I may have been drinking last night, but at no point was I actually drunk. EDIT: And unless a mod posts here about such, this'll be my last reference to any activities last night. Didn't mean for this to become about intoxication, just the amusement of being stuck up at 6AM and playing FL. ^_~
Grishnak
I'm gunna go ahead and sign the contract completing the derailment... 1) References to you yourself doing something and suggesting that others do it are two very different things. In this case it was a personal reference and in no way an endorsement. We have young members here, and I myself would be angered to see someone suggesting drugs to another. 2) PG-13: Parents Strongly Cautioned. Some material may be inappropriate for children under 13. This signifies that the film rated may be inappropriate for pre-teens. Parents should be especially careful about letting their younger children attend. Rough or persistent violence is absent; sexually-oriented nudity is generally absent; some scenes of drug use may be seen; one use of the harsher sexually derived words may be heard 3) If you yourself are offended, it's fine to say so. To attack someone because of his beliefs and preferences is imposing your moral code on them, and that to me is far worse than a reference to drugs. I myself do not use recreational drugs in any capacity, so this is not the opinion of a pot-head trying to make some BS argument for his right to smoke and talk about it. The fact is people do illegal things, it happens. If they want to talk about it, that's their right. If they want to make a minute reference to it on an online forum made up of their friends from a game, that's their right. To suggest that he should be banned for making an off-shoot reference like that is ludicrous, that's when your morals and your beliefs are being imposed on others in an oppressive manner. This is a forum where people who have something in common, FL, come and post about the game and life. I think many of us remember the days of the nazi forums, and no one wants to return to that. Evangelion
Very well said. I'm one of the biggest anti-drug/drinking fanatics you'll find, but I'm not going to condemn someone because they mention it on a public forum. Although it is Pali, so I might make an exception just this once.

Chayesh
While being the only sober person can be amusing amidst a room full of drunks, let's keep the conversation from straying to far into various vices we all might indulge in from time to time. Now if you'll excuse me, I have hostages to torture after I smoke a brandy-dipped Macanudo and get my quiches out of the oven.

Dobson
Wow... *claps* Let me go over a few things before you get off the soap box. Rap songs, they talk about drugs, they talk about using drugs, ever hear it on the radio? The answer is no, and that is because it is illegal. There are clean air laws which have nothing to do with the air, it is audible speech available to the masses. Much like the age limit on pornography, there is an age limit on this clear air act, it is 17. There is not a, "are you 17 or older" marker on this forum which would allow such discussion as drugs and alcohol. That is why the old forum was a "nazi" forum. The simple use of that word is disgusting as is. You can rant and rave as much as you want about smoking and drinking just know that it is immoral and the general conversation of it promotes its use by saying "Hey, I do it, so can you!" The promotion of drugs, in this case taking drugs as payment for service making an unwanted task acceptable, is an illegal act. That's it, I'm done. Feel free to go on making jokes as you will. You're quite right it's illegal. However, legality and morality are separate in my eyes in certain instances. They overlap a good deal, but I do not see how me doing something in a responsible manner so that it harms no one is immoral.

EtsoShex
It's fine to talk about it. It's fine to even put up pictures of it. Ever heard of High Times Magazine? That's an entire magazine devoted to pot and its use/enjoyment. Do they get sued because it's illegal? No. Talking about where to get it, and using it/how to use it is illegal. If Dobson was right, Reefer should get a ban just for his name, don't you think? Now, wouldn't that be facist of us?
Dobson
can·na·bis /ˈkænəbɪs/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[kan-uh-bis] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation –noun 1. the hemp plant, Cannabis sativa. 2. the flowering tops of the plant. 3. any of the various parts of the plant from which hashish, marijuana, bhang, and similar mildly euphorogenic and hallucinogenic drugs are prepared. Cannabis, AKA HEMP, is completely legal. Notice how they say that a WHOLE lot when they should be saying marajuana? OMG, could it possible be a complete dodge to the clean air laws...GEE, ya think? If you will remember the high times shops, used to be everywhere, and now you are lucky to find one? Yeah, that's because they went a little overboard on the regulations and got SHUT DOWN AND ARRESTED FOR SELLING DRUG RELATED ACCESSORIES. Saddly I wasn't there for the fun, as I was only 17 and in high school, but we all have things we regret. You are trying to tell me what is and is not legal...unless you are a lawyer, good luck bucko. Also, Pali, brosef, nothing against you but you need to stop that **** before it ruins your life.
