Werebeasts

No selecting your beast type is not something that is in at the moment and is still a topic for discussion for the future. If thats what you meant.

Thanks. That is exactly what I was asking.

I recently tried to roll certain combo, after I didn't get the desired beast 3 times I gave up.

I think the random beast really hurts the diversity of races in FL.

I have b een barking up this tree for quite some time. Along with other beast flaws.

It's the reason I've given up every playing a beast. If I want a falcon I get a bear, if I want a wolf I get a falcon. Irritating.

I wanna roll a beast right now, but having to roll 4-5 just to get the desired race... yuck...

Leveled up two today.

Bear. Tiger. Dumb.

it took me like 16 to get a wolf for zerk. and I did not even like zerk and it took 5 to get Kadrinath (ranger) so I have rolled 21 beasts, to play 2 chars. Le sigh.

I tried to roll a wolf during Halloween madness. I got each other beast and gave up before getting a wolf. On Halloween madness! lol. Something else I noticed was that I hardly hit anyone else while transformed and raged. Though they were mainly melees I'd have thought I'd be a bit more offensive.

I have put several posts on this.

The issue you ran into is the fact that zerks do not get blind fighting, and h2h is a terribly rated weapon class, hardest to disarm with, no defense, and low offense (for non monks). Factor in those two things and you end up with a zerk that can't beat a linkdead bard

Why does everyone care so much about the beast they get?

Just as an example to clear up your question.

Awhile back I wanted to roll up a werebeast ranger that would help to rebuild their city and have a ruler.

I figured that Wolf would be my target transform since they out of the four transforms are the most group oriented.

Six werebeasts later, I found out bears were apparently the most group oriented because that's what I got.

I gave up on the character, it's still on the burner. But will wait to roll until I feel like I have a chance of winning the lottery.

For me it's all about the RP. They are my favorite race because of the RP, but it's annoying trying to get the beast you want to fit your RP.

I feel like werebeasts make a perfect insanity wolf meme.

Rolled werebeast ranger

Kept tiger form!

We're working on it.

Hell yeah!

Why does everyone care so much about the beast they get?

Thats just funny... why do you think people care about their RACE?

That's like say, "Why do you care you are a halfling, when you wanted an ogre?"

I've been trying to roll a certain beast combo for more than two weeks now. Rolling and hitting 15 almost every day once. Lucky for me, one of the times some immortal was online and kept telling me the beast I would get when I hit 15, when I was at rank 1! Eventually he/she got annoyed with that too probably, 7 beasts later

To be honest I'm playing a beast I am not very happy with... And now that the initial 'woohoo' has dried up I'm getting fed up.

Playing a moderately powered class with a race you're not stoked about doesnt = fun.

I know that frustration... that being said, there is a tiny feeling of accomplishment when you do get the form you want in some kind of reasonable fashion. My last beast got the form I wanted on the second roll. I get that is one more roll than any other race would need, but I felt like I beat this imaginary system by only having to roll twice.

I get a feeling of accomplishment when I PK a bada$$ char or when I outdo myself with RP.

Getting the right beast gives me a feeling of just being lucky...

I generally reserve feelings of accomplishment for things that happen in the real world... but any and all victories over randomly generated things gives me a tingle. I think I might MMO too much... damn infinitesimally small drop rates in GW2 directly to hell...

RE: L-A

Alot of it has to do with the fact your RP is mostly undefined until you determine your race, where as in FL your SUPPOSED to be rping 100% from rank 1 up. As a werebeast your limited to only "Blessed but waiting" which can really stifle early attempts to determine your RP.
