Wilderness Clearing Bounties

Terrible name I know.

I came up with this idea while playing a good align and felt like there was no real good or fun way to collect gold.  I started thinking about one of the books I read that has a bounty for returning with goblin ears as proof to receive gold bounties.

I started thinking mostly about the vampire tombs, why wouldn't some Knightly mob in Val Miran offer a bounty in return for something like vampire fangs.  They know the tombs are there (the val miran key quest) and it would just make sense that they would pay brave warriors and the like for proof of such for their efforts.

Bounties could increase from kindreds to soldiers.

This could easily be copied in Miruvhor for clearning the labyrinth or even the fae in everwild for some type of expansion or anything like it.

This seems like a remarkable way to expand upon the Guild Quest system by incorporating a mob in each of the major cities that offers bounties in the nearby areas. A way to have a "bulletin board" system to have newer players explore and veteran players stay busy.

IE:

You walk by a bulletin board with the following tasks available:

Some items can be seasonal. Frost giant season? A high level mission may be to go to the Baranof Icefields and kill 50 frost giants. Spring season? Kill 200 dryads. Fall season? Kill 500 scarecrows. Or whatever it may be.

More stuff to do means players will be more interested for longer periods of time. Rewards can very. For instance, what if we collected a series of titles based on the quests completed?

Dale the Scarecrow Slayer

BUT! If you typed guild dale or whois dale, you see his actual class title.

#brainstorming

I really like it.

I also like this idea and have floated something not that different (although aimed at L50s as opposed to lower levels) past a few people on staff. I think there's a lot of merit to it, it's simply a question of nailing down the right reward(s) and the right difficulty/frequency of the tasks.

replace the random lockboxes with random lockboxes rewarded by these bulletins

Just saying, there could even be a score board with the top weekly bounty fulfillers on there.

Cool idea

Thank you for all the positive reactions to my suggestion.  I'd really like to see something like this in game at some point.  If anything just to add extra playability when you have nothing else to to do and not many ppl are online as well as pre-50.
