Locked Moderate/Ruthless

Moderate kills thief but can't take their backpack/item back.

not empty quoting.

Why a class that depends on not being killed to maintain it's malforms power, be better of, without the full rares suit that prevent him from losing in the first place?

What I mean is, sure Moderate status prevent you being multikilled by the same person, but it does not prevents you from being killed and multiple times but by diferent persons. It also decreases your chance of survival in battle but improves your chances of survival for the few hours you would need to re-EQ after death.

For me Moderate tier DK greatness is in it's comeback power.

You get to keep those bags of consumable, and 90% of the gear allowing you to get more PK expertise by decreasing down time.

This is great for cabals with multiple wars, such as Nexus and Tribunal.

I have seen them both have 3 vendettas at the same time.

Also, I can see Moderates Tribunals as a great balancer, because as you know, captured wanteds only lose 2-3 pices of EQ. But if a Tribune dies to a Wanted he can be full looted.

Also we should not forget Moderates can only look gold or two rare items from corpses. No non-rare looting.

Your dramatically undervalueing the effectivity of the moderate tier. I have stated before I was able to get 65/85 hit dam as a moderate ranger. Dks get access to unholy strength, and Malforms. A smart moderate tribunal DK would absolutely wreck worlds with very little personal risk. ESPESCIALLY an avian. shudder

Well I am just of the firm belief that full looting someone is not tactical' date=' 90% of the time it ruins someones day/week for play. As well as further demoralizing them.[/quote']

aye.

But the point is you WANT opposition, you WANT people to play against. You want pk shakes.

that only works if risk is involved. if you just take a hit to your pvp record and respawn with (almost) full gear, then why bother in the first place?

I die in Black Ops, I load out, and go.

exactly.

Also three hours is conservative. If your an invoker, nuke some of their saves.

ever played an invoker?

PS: i'm so f'ing drunk by now i really have to mention it. i'm definitely not raving madly against your posts. i just don't want to believe that the game i used to know changed in a way i'm definitely not happy with.

You are welcome to full loot. You are welcome to PK to your hearts content.

If an IMM thinks you are being excessive in the PK department, you will receive a warning and explanation of the warning, but, until then, enjoy yourself.

A few points here. Foxx is right there is no more changing from Moderate to Ruthless because of the fact its like a buffer to have this protection gaining ranks and would be abuse to hit 50 and say ahh I now want to be able to full loot everyone since I could not be all through ranking.

Secondly full looting is not illegal though most of you know my opinion of the subject. So weather you take my purple silk edible panties or my full adeptus you will not get in trouble for it. However if I catch you full looting the same noob over and over when you can tell they are new (and yes it is easy to tell when they hardly know commands or how to run away even in the slightest) I will put you in a noexit room with them and watch them kick your *** while I mash my restore noob button over and over until you are dead.

So whether you take my purple silk edible panties or my full adeptus you will not get in trouble for it. However ...

em sheds a tear of joy. and, ofcourse, grinding noobs is baaaad, mmmkay? you hear that, lvl30 dark nights?!

ever played an invoker?

Yes. I have played: 4 gnome, 3 drow, 2 elf, 1 faerie, 1 avian, 1 human

Pm..

ever played an invoker?

Hehe this guy is quite funny

How about you actually roll something and prove that you can have a positive PK record, then talk about how you you are? ;p

Ilztrae Arkeneld, drow invoker, savant temporum elder. first pk at lvl 14, told by imms to level up after messing around with the 30's. +/- 150 kills. think i'm quite familiar with the class.

Nowadays.

PS. I never said you were not familiar with the class, was just curious how you would like to be on the receiving end of your "full loot everything" philosophy

You cannot really put old PK into new PK. in 1.0/2.0 you could PK in just about any gear (I have read OLD logs of people doing 2 v 1 wearing a half mithril suit)

Now PK has MUCH more tactic, and speed involved. ALOT has changed since then. Dirt disarm was such a good tactic then. Now its just funny. Noone even uses weapons that can be dropped vs a disarming class (unless they HAVE to).

Nowadays.

fair call.

same as ever - not even bothering running back to my corpse.

...and speed involved... ! does that mean people using p.e. their numpad to walk around?

anyways. i'll die so horribly soo often. wonder if i condeath before 30

It is more than just number pad. It is the overall skill of the playerbase is expontentially higher than it was in the "old days". ten years ago gear was a scary place meant for 4-6 people. Now character(s) have solo'd the place.

The general abilities have gone up is all.

Now character(s) have solo'd the place.

:'-(

He's got a point... The awful things people nowadays would do to the "EPIC" characters from back in the day...

i'm more wary of what might happen to not-so-epic characters that don't know their way around anymore... shifty eyes

I wouldn't suggest evasive tactics... I am basically the same PKer I was 2 years ago. That being said... people don't find me if I consciously don't want to be found.

Tantangel - no, your healer cannot have more lives.

Even if you are a cute little smurf.

Your ever (un)friendly healer hater,

L-A

I haven't played a strong Healer since your and my epic WM vs Savant fights. Since then I've only had one and that was a year ago who got tooled over left and right.

I wish I knew this fact before I rolled up moderate.

I searched the forums and this was the only post I found on the subject, then thought "Hey, maybe because it's my first character back I'll go moderate and when I get into the swing of things I can go ruthless"

Maybe we should put it in the helpfile that you can't app to change to ruthless?
