Behrens
Come on, I'm the embodiment of Good in the universe. That's got to win me SOME points. Edit: At least we know Behrens is a humanitarian. Wow, that was terrible.
Ex-D&Der
3.0 preceded that changeover. Rathe was running it for a brief time in 3.0.

Chayesh
2.0 to 3.0 was when characters began selecting perks, among other changes. Viri was still running the show of course. Messalantha is definitely 3.0. Anyone who says differently is a complete moron.

Messalantha is definitely 3.0. Anyone who says differently is a complete moron. Just because she has a perk (which I'm not entirely sure she does), does not mean she was necessarily 3.0 Perhaps she requested the perk from an IMP, and was granted her request, since she lived through the transition. My character at the time did NOT have a perk, therefore was in 2.0 (according to your logic). That character got killed by Messalantha pre-50 (as in neither Messalantha nor I were 50 yet). The only way to find out is to ask Messa where she got that damn perk.
Chayesh
Allow me to reiterate... Messalantha is definitely 3.0. Anyone who says differently is a complete moron. Did I sound like I was in any way unsure?
Evangelion
You can be sure of yourself and still be wrong. IE - At least George Bush is confident. The only possibility you have going for you is that I rolled up my character, got really wasted and took a hiatus around level 35, and came back, that being the time when Messalantha killed me. Chayesh
You can be sure of yourself and still be wrong. What a perfect response to your continued debate of this point. Of course, one wonders what sort of mental deficiency leads someone to argue with the person who actually can access the information that proves the arguer to be a complete git, but hey, we all have our quirks I guess. Evangelion
Then I concede that I might have been inebriated, took a hiatus, and came back just in time to receive the first of many beatings courtesy of Messalantha. However, being the stubborn git that I am, I refuse to concede the possibility that you could, in fact, be correct.

Raargant
Messalantha, as a character, was part of 3.0. I cannot speak for Balinor's alleged inebriation, but I will say that your memory, for whatever reason, is faulty on this.

Mister E
Yep, people always get off on the four letter words, but I like those good ol brittish three letter ones like Git, Ale...cant think of any others right now.
EyeSeeU
I think what people fail to recognize is that 3.0 has been alive and kicking for quite a long time now.
Mudder
You can't request a perk from the Imms, I tried. Though Mess as a character has been around for awhile. I remember her killing my old Illithid Necro, Xierkian when he got into Syndi. Mess also took a break with her character after she got vamped.. (Maybe before or after 50, but a break nontheless) So I say she marks the beginning of 3.
L-A
What was the defining moment between 2.0/3.0 I really want to know if I was around at the end of 2.0 I believe the change from players voting on cabal entraces to the 'old school' way of IMMs deciding if you were worthy of being in their cabal. Cheers, L-A

Cheers, L-A Well....the IMM has to find you worthy before even letting the members vote.
kahlos
Damn I got all the way to this page and I think I missed the Messelantha deletion post.. who played her? Or is she still around? When is Shaw gonna make his long-awaited comeback? Hehe. Who are the oldest characters around now Chayesh?
Aulian
Ah, still shaw... Olom definately too
Tantangel
Messalantha hasn't deleted. I haven't talked to her in a couple years now either, but last I knew she was working, possible she finally found a job that was her degree and she's working a ton and couldn't play. Either that or she still does but silently.
J.Twendrist
I thought there was a post on the shoutouts saying she wasn't playing the character anymore.
Tantangel
Could be. I haven't bothered to read all the posts after coming back, but I know she was trying to work and play as much as possible. It could possibly be that she hasn't been playing at all though. Chayesh
The oldest living pfile is still Shaw, I believe, but I haven't checked for some time. The oldest still existing when I last checked were Shaw, Olom, Branor, Messalantha.
