Thief Idea

Ahhhh, I remembered this from my last thief and forgot to post it. Imagine with me, this theif, a master of hiding, legendary sneaking, pinn in his guild. Trained long hours... well for hide maybe... well... he trained them both to maxe anyhow. Sitting in rheydin waiting for his victim to come into the cc so he may strike at them from the shadow. The human voker seems to be taking a long time in the potion shop, and seems to be heading this way now when....... his tummy starts rumbling. Not a good time for a food run, so its a good thing that you brought those extra milks from lon lon's ranch. As you reach into your bag, you jump into the air doing cartwheels and launching off fireworks. You quickly maintain your composure and find your hiding place behind that stack of wooden boxes. You have the bottle, now you just have to drink it. You put the bottle up to your lips, stand up in all your glory, a spot light hits you, and that damned invoker seems to come in and hellstream you right after you take your first sip of milky goodness....

I suppose in a fun story like way, this illustrates my point. Although I have never played with the mastery hide/sneak classes, I still dont understand why mastering hide/sneak does not entitle you to quietly get something from your bag, and drink/eat it.

I always immagine hide as being something along the lines of, crouching behind a box, finding a dark corner, etc. So why can a theif not get items from his bag, eat, drink, quaff, smoke, whatever it be, while they are in hiding. I suppose I can see smoking something as giving away your location, but I can drink and eat quiety in RL and I certainly am no master of theivery.

So thats my idea, I could be way off and be forgetting something... then you should all make fun of me and laugh at me.

By making hiding/camo classes able to eat and drink without coming out would make them able to stay hidden indefinitely. This would be an amazing boost for them.

Exactly. Imagine how much easier a ninja's life is if he never, ever has to come out of hidden.
