Way back when I was pulling 6+ hours a day I moved my keyboard and noticed pain after a play session. Took a day off to heal and moved it back. No issues.

If you are experiecing pain, do something about it - and don't just keep playing as it IS going to get worse. Take a day or even two days off to heal if you must. Its going to be a whole lot worse trying to run in PK if its actually hurting you....

Cheers,

L-A

I ditched my chair a while ago for one of those big exercise balls. It is so much better for play, or any computer use really. As opposed to a chair where it is easy to slouch, the ball forces you to maintain balance with your legs and keeping a straight back ends up being more comfortable too. Also you can bounce around. I am literally on the ball, and its great.

C'mon Chayesh, Bobcatfan is struggling here with some injuries and he needs our help to learn how to play safe.

Now bcf, can I call you bcf? Good. When you are alone at night in your room playing, you dont want to hurt your wrists, so try and incorporate some movement into your game. You dont wanna just sit there and get beat, you wanna mix up your positions and really get into the whole thing. Make sure you use all your fingers and both hands so nothing gets cramped by staying in the same place. And as I mentioned before Chayesh derailed this thread , you wanna involve balls for your own safety. Relying on stiff wood may get you through the night, or even the week, but in the long run your body will thank you for changing it up.

Ok, no more talk about any of us playing with balls while on the computer, if your curious why. See the mac thread.

edit:

Suck it up princess, play through it or play a Wii ;)

Best FL related injury of all time:

Rathe IMM_chats: Oh wow, I just punched myself in the face.

Bryntryst IMM_chats: LOL

An Angel {Avariel} IMM_chats: What were you thinking?!

Rathe IMM_chats: I went to scratch my head, but my face got in the way.

Okay, I BARELY stopped myself from laughing out loud in the middle of a lecture.

on the rare chances that im able to play at home i like to at my desk in our basement, the wife and i have our computers set up down there its nice and quiet etc etc...

Anyways!!

in my nice chair, i put my laptop (which i always mud from) on my lap and put my feet up on the desk.. well one night with vorqwuith i am trying to pkill and someone gets the jump on me, in my excitement i forget the precarious position i am in and the chair wheels twist in such a way to throw me on the ground, laptop landing next to me, as i am now on my side on the ground wincing from where i banged my hip, and spilling my drink all over my computer desk. I look at my laptop to make sure its still working from my position on my side on the floor, get ready to get up and at the same exact time i see the "You have been killed" the glass my drink was in rolls off the desk and clunks me a good one on the head.

lets just say after a full loot, a nasty bump on the head and a nice bruise on my hip i logged for the evening.

on the subject of wrist pain...i geuss i have good typing posture, never seems to bother me.
