EA Cuting Jobs

Doubtful they'll lay him off. Usually they go for the higher paid people who aren't as good as they once were, so they'll go for the vets before they go for the newbs. Newbs meaning the newer highered members. They're usually better than some of the vets and are paid a bit less and since they in the long run save more money for a company because they're paid less, they tend to be the least likely to be fired. At least that's how it went down at Micron a few years back when they were doing lay offs. They find ways to target people who're higher paid than others (bad attitude/hard to work with) and they'll go for it and basically say they're sorry but can't have you anymore. Then again not all businesses are like that, but I still don't think they'd let go of Viri. He may not be able to spell for **** at times, but he can code like no other.

Tant's right. Usually higher ups.

I'm not sure about Tiburon, but EA in general treats employee's like crap. So, depending on his situation, it might not be bad that the guy get's laid off and goes to work for a different, better company.

God put a curse on that publisher. They are the devil.

I didn't buy an EA game project for three years after their CEO made the announcement that Sega's Dreamcast was "subpar" and full of bugs and glitches so they weren't going to make games for it. Bull****! they just knew Sony would pay them more...Dreamcast was a rockin system, and they killed it.

I even belonged to one of EA's rather "elite" beta test(meaning we got games for testing as far as a year before release) and was a test leader who collected data from other testers and put in the bug reports, but I quit when they did that to Dreamcast.

But bad for them, Sega Sports put out their own Sports games which rocked the video games sports world.

Dreamcast actually had a few games on it that were worthwhile to play. Resident Evil Code Veronica being one of them. It did have some good ideas to it when it came out, the only problem I saw with it, was that Sega as a console creator at the time was already in the process of going down in that category and most people didn't think that it would live up to snuff and really didn't get it. Out of everyone I know, only one person got it, and that's out of over 100+ people. My personal view on it is that Sega Dreamcast was actually a pretty well thought out console, but it didn't have all the backing of the people to buy it which brought the consoles to an end. Their games are alright, but about the only game I really cared for on the older ones were the Sonic games which tended to be fun. I've never been a big fan of Sega though, that's mostly because I'm particularly fond of Nintendo and their ideas. I'm waiting on Revolution to come out, which promises to be a great deal more than what I'd want. I'm not gonna pay $400+ on a system that isn't fully backwards compatable or possibly might break within the first year of my purchase.

I like the PS2 Version of Code Veronica, then again it was remade to have extra stuff in it as well, similar to how the PS2 version of RE4 has new stuff as compared to the Gamecube version. If I have the money, I'm almost tempted to buy it for the PS2, even though I already have it on the Gamecube just for the simple fact that it does have the extra side quests that I'd like to see. I don't think I've ever played Skies of Arcadia though.
