Isadora
Rather bored at work. I'll post tidbits I find interesting enough to post that I've run across through my stream-of-consciousness internet surfing. http://www.nytimes.com/2007/02/20/health/psychology/20essa.html?em&ex=1172206800&en=169b24bf57b052b1&ei=5087%0A

Should send them to the Hall of Echoes. http://space.newscientist.com/article/dn11221-fastest-spinning-star-may-have-exotic-heart.html I actually really like the simplicity of astronomical naming conventions for objects... if it's matter and doesn't interact with light, it's "dark matter". If it's a hole in space-time that doesn't let light escape, it's a "black hole". If it's a star that's so dense all that's left is neutrons, it's a "neutron star". Far, far more upfront and straightforward than, say, biological naming conventions.

Isadora
Grr.... Now no one can appreciate my wondrous news-reading and fact-gathering, since I can't check the forum at work. To fill in my time, I've decided to learn to juggle at my desk.
