More Game Than ME?

I think this would be an interesting thread. I was laying down, going to catch a few zzzz's before my date tonight and I was thinking to myself, I wonder if anyone that plays FL has more game than me. That had me thinking about other things you people can do besides play FL. Computers dont count, since most likely, 50% of the player base has a very good working with computers. If you are a computer graphic artist thats cool. But anyway, post some of the skills you have in the real world that you have.

I am a classically trained trombonist. I also have a good understanding of Salsa/Latin Jazz forms.

I have more game than the gosh darn MLB season. Even though I am a long term relationship guy, I can pull in more ladies than a women's shelter.

I would find it quite interesting if people post some of the things they are good at, perhaps even have a rivalry of sorts.

So post your talents and if you think you can top me... go for it!

I'm terrible with computers. I fence, both foil and sabre, and will eventually learn epee. I do some writing as well, fiction generally, and I read like mad. I can dance west coast swing, triple swing, and lindy. I can also cha-cha, and I'd like to learn the Paso Doble. I can sing a little bit, but I'm nothing special, even though I'm pretty much always doing it. Just a habit.

Well... I can draw, play guitar moderately. I fence quite well with a foil, never tried sabre or epee. UAC champ for my battalion. Highest average marksmanship scores in the battalion as well. Hrm, I have moderate skill with computers in the windows OS area, anything else is foreign to me. I can speak enough french and german to get me by if I ever had to travel to the countries. I played trombone for 6 years in school, just got tired of it. I catch a lot of flak for the fact that I can do almost 75 sit ups in 2 minutes with a 45 lb plate on my chest but can barely run the minimum time on the run. I have no real useful skills, but I can do a little of just about anything. Oh, and I play rugby. And I have already been amazed by the diversity of the playerbase as a whole. Before I ever even looked at the forums I had played for a year or so and sucked even worse than dey at that point....but...I always had this image of a bunch of geeks sitting around all the time playing- then I became addicted. Then I started going to the forums and started chatting with some of the players. I have found that unlike most gaming communities, we aren't all 13 going through puberty talk about nothing but your dad's playboy kids. Just a bunch of people who got unwittingly sucked into this MUD. Okay, I'm done rambling now...and if you're still reading, you're insane.

EDIT:: I also enjoy long walks on the beach at sunset and stalking Eshaine. xD

EDIT 2:: I get beat by those goofy nerdy kids when it comes to dancing, so I don't. I usually find the nearest guitar and start playing it to avoid the shame of being seen attempting to dance.

I play guitar (electric/acoustic) and harmonica. I used to play in a fairly successful UK blues/rock band (not famous/signed - when I say successful, I don't mean successful, just not a band that never gigs or the like) with a CD done, professional photos and website and it got us tons of gigs all over the country.

I have no 'game' when it comes to women, in the sense that I am not a smooth-talker, I can't dance, and I'm clumsy as hell. But I am highly extroverted and come with plenty of confidence, and who's focusing on the smooth-talker when there's somebody stood on a table wearing nothing but a leopard-print "posing pouch" with pen all over his chest saying, "Welcome to the Jungle" whilst drinking shots of Baileys out of an inflatable sex doll? The non-boring girls love getting involved in antics like that. ;)

I am a pretty good cook too.

It's all in the name of fun. Stuff like that always happens when it gets down to drinking games. Like left-handed drinking, where if you touch your drink with your right hand, you have to sing the chorus to "Loveshack" as loud as you can. Or 991 Officer down - you designate someone as "chief officer" for the night, and whenever they yell "911, Officer Down!" you have to stop what you're doing and lay down on the floor, no matter what the situation is, or face a forfeit. Even if you're in the middle of talking to a couple of hot girls, or you're just about to pay for your drinks at the bar - you have to do it. :D

Hrrm, not a smooth talker by any means when it comes to ladies, but for some reason, people trust me heh. I played football in highschool til I blew out my knee, was in the running for scholarships to Penn State, Michigan, Villanova, William and Mary, and some other small school, King's college I think it was. Not very musically inclined, but I'm well read, Used to speak Latin and some spanish, but don't use it, you loose it. I know quite a bit about mortgages, I'll actually be getting a job as a loan officer with a fortune 500 company when I come back from my trip to ireland...wilmington finace, a subsidary of AIG. I'm pretty handy to have around as well, I can do sheet rock, painting, carpentry, flooring, roofing and little bit of the other construction trades. Most of the chics I hang with would rather just get ****ed up and **** then dance anyways, so being a poor dancer doesn't factor in much heh.

Talents... nope not at all. The only thing that I am good at is cooking and painting. I just tend to cook with a lot of alcohol. The alcohol I use depends from the types of dishes or de I make. Which most are inventions or recipes passed down to me by my mother that I have tweaked and changed some of the ingredients. I just began to learn how to cook Asian foods, which is completely different from the French and Italian dishes I tend to do. Should have gone to culinary school instead of going for marine bio (It’s now History ). Coming from a Spaniard background, I speak little Spanish. I used to be able to maintain long conversations before moving to Maine. (I had no one to talk to so it kind of slipped). I am pretty good at painting and drawing so says my friends, yet I don’t see it. I suck at sports unless it’s martial arts or volleyball. I’ve taken two years of taekwondo and what other self defense my father taught me. I’m good with kids that need special attention. I’ve worked with kids that have ADHD to down syndrom.

Dancing.... I pretty much suck at it. Unless it’s some type of salsa or merengue. Cant forge the electric slide. :P ... I hated my elementary gym teacher... ha I still do hate the guy.

currently writing my first novel (based in part by FL, with FL characters... yeah, that's right, I'm stealing all your "intellectual property", deal with it).

currently enjoying all the pros and cons of married-life (which means less FL but more T n' A).

currently seeking to turn my college radio days into a full-time job, so I can quit the one I got.

I *can* salsa dance (nyah). I learned on my trip to Paraguay when I was 17. I am a fair dancer. I make my own jewelry, mostly beads. I love to make my own Xmas ornaments. I am a great mom and wife. I work with mentally retarded kids at a high school. They rock! I am a good cook and sometimes make my own bread. I have a talent for computers and am the whiz among my co-workers and friends. I am currently learning to sphereplay, something I picked up at the ren fair.

I'm a writer. Been writing a novel for a good four years now, it's coming along nicely. Also like writing poetry, and I'd like to think I've got a pretty good grip on the English language.

I also play many instruments. I've been playing drums for a good four years, and bass and classical guitar for eight or so. When I sing, people say I sound very much like Jack Johnson, which is pretty nice.

I'm not a bad talker when it comes to girls, or just people in general. I'm pretty good at breaking the ice with funny little comments, and girls say I'm sweet.

I can dance somewhat, but I'd rather not. On the floor, I'm kinda shy.

In a party-type scenario, I'm usually the accidental focus of attention. I'm go for an intelligent conversation about society, a few acoustic "I learned these songs to impress people" songs, or a bit of stand-up wackiness.

I'm also obnoxious.

Well, this is a great post to resurface on since I disappeared to finalize plans on what I'm going to share...

I'm the Volunteer Coordinator for the largest non-profit children's bereavement camp in America. Comfort Zone Camp (If anyone is willing to volunteer time or money, it's an amazing organization that helps so many grieving children which you can read all about while training up that new project) That being said, I'm obviously a chronically extroverted guy who loves to strike up conversations with just about anyone. I'm also a softie for kids. (No wonder I haven't had the heart to play an evil since I came back)

As for "game" I guess I hold my own. When you can say that you do what I do for a living it helps....alot. It's like Wedding Crashers except I don't have to lie. I love the outdoors: hiking, running, biking, boating, and sports (Ultimate frisbee topping the list ever since I lost my kidney in a football injury). And I still can't escape computer gaming....bah!

Oh, and, I'm back again. Took an impromptu hiatus due to a new job and location, a vacation, etc. I'm going to make an evil who is actually mean...I swear.
