Raid-Like EQ Changes

The thing is that people will wine no matter what. If you want to get the EQ you have to kill the person who holds it. It is as simple as that. The problem here is that people want to get the EQ without killing the person. They want the system to get the EQ from the character and place it on the mob, because they can kill the mob, but they cannot kill the person.

Also, you made this a poll for a reason. Just look at the result. That speaks better than anything else.

This I took from another thread f0xx.How I am supposed to kill someone who haven't logged at all?I don't care what he has achieved.I dont care if he has a tattoo, he is eldered leader or whatever of the sort, he is not active and I am.Then we, "the active players" just must suck it up because his character has "achieved" something?Don't think so dude.To speak like that is just selfish. And it is not just me, pal. There are a lot of people complaining about the same thing.

Let just put it this way - if one is inactive one will be purged. Neither you, nor MMA nor I am the one to judge who is active or not.

This thread is not about who is active and who is not, foxx.

Nobody is deciding. You either get the hours required or you're not. If not, you get purged.

It is too easy to manipulate the current system to keep a shelved character super-decked.

And even if not done on purpose, it is destroying a big aspect of this game.

Exactly. But some people here like to give qualifications to whom deserves what EQ....

Just saying...

No one is doing that, foxx.

A shelved char = a char that is not playing = a char that will get purged.

You need quite a lot of hours to keep your rares, if you do not have these hours logged, you get purged.

I've been purged many, many, many times since I started college. This is why I don't make any form of serious attempt to play and don't bother holding more than one or two easy to grab rares.

When I log in again in a week or two, I know I'll be purged.

We could argue over definitions all day long I think Anume lol - my point is that if someone can play for 5% of the month and still get enough hours and then not play for 90+% of the month and still keep their "god-suit" then something could stand to be changed or re-evaluated.

When did this become a job though? Yeah I hate when there isn't a single rare worth a damn to pick up... so does everyone else. At the same time... People have lives. I would rather hear a player is going out with some friends for a night on the town than spend his 47th straight night dialed into FL...

A 2 week check instead of 4 weeks is reasonable.

I would disagree. Though I'm graduated now, I can sympathize with my former classmates entering "dead week". There was no way in hell I could even consider logging on for an hour much less several hours at ALL during dead week, which was rapidly followed by finals week... another period where there was NO WAY I would get on. Then consider holidays, midterms, travel... you are boning people pretty hard for existing beyond their computer chairs.

Supplemental ideas for scenarios like that have been suggested.

It's just a fine line.

Why don't we put more emphasis on skills and not on equipment? I personally see no problem with the equipment system the way it is. Seems people complain when they can't beat people with god suits. It's not impossible. Just know your **** and hit when they are vulnerable. I've done it and it's been done to me too.

It isn't always that simple for everyone.

And you are right. EQ should NOT be the emphasis, which is why I suggest making all eq equally available to everyone.

...and hit when they are vulnerable.

That basicly means gang them

That is how you get decked isn't it foxx?

I really don't see a problem with the rare system. There is no current character that trumps everyone else, no one character that cannot be beaten. Yes they may do much better against certain classes, but there will be classes that it is a pain in the arse to defeat them. I think way too many people that play here worry to much about what equipment they wear. With the advent of cabal equipment outfitting, you really have no excuse to not be constantly pk'ing. All my crap gone, ok, I will outfit, grab some sanc vials and strike back. Everyone can be toppled without resorting to ganging (sometimes you just have to keep working your angle until you get them in the position you want). Ninja's are a perfect example of this, anyone that takes the time to learn them, can assassinate anyone, a great equalizer. God suits come and go, I think you should worry less about what you wear, and more about how to take down your opponent.

It isn't always that simple for everyone.

And you are right. EQ should NOT be the emphasis, which is why I suggest making all eq equally available to everyone.

No it isn't simple. That's how we evolve into better players.

Missing my point. I'd like to see more skills for certain classes that take some of the emphasis off of equipment. Not just a bunch of people running around in god suits. I'be seen this done on CF and AR and equipment took a MAJOR backseat.
