How do you quit a guild?

Not sure is this is a bug or what. but positions inside a clan are transferrable. If you move from one clan to another as a vet, you will be a vet in the new clan. I pointed this out once to an imm and they decided to let me keep it. This was the move from Noble to Militia...in which my FIRST clan ranks were consideribly harder to earn than the new clan I was in, so it made sense.

Warp is right and wrong' date=' you will have the rank in the clan when you change over, but it will quickly go away.[/quote']

I found this happen before. An old deleted newbie I had was a Vet in Despair, then when I joined the Cartel I was still a Vet. Then people started wondering what happened when I ended up as an again.

Hrm...with Ralphii I began in Hourglass, got Vet...swtiched to hope at rank 15 or so and sat at Vet in hope from those quests for 3 or 4 months real time, before getting accepted into knight.

I have to say I don't think its the code dropping you guys, I think its Imms.

so you have to 25 automated quests to apply' date=' who approves the applications then?[/quote']

Basically, the cabal IMM lets you apply for the cabal when you have made yourself known in some fashion. How you do that is up to you but usually clan quests and solid RP. Once the cabal IMM allows you to apply, it's like the old way. You apply, it gets voted on, etc.

Sometimes Cabals require you to be Trusted in the clan to be allowed to send in your application. I know back in Savant you had to be Trusted in the clan (this was before Imm turnover when that one female IMM was in charge) and then again in the changeover it was made to where you had to be Trusted. Don't know what it is now, but I think it just depends on the Imm and the Cabal.

And you don't always have to do the quests to advance ranks in the clan, I've had characters with 0 clan quests get promoted. Just like Chayesh says, you gotta be noticed somehow. And sometimes just being 50 can make you be noticed. And if you're a Healer, it's harder to gain ranks in a clan due to clan quests because the ease of those quests for a Healer is beyond that of any other class, as they can get there in two gates or under 10 seconds.

Like I said before, it depends from IMM to IMM, and also on cabal being full.

For me, it's always like this:

Poor RP, Poor-Good PK: Expect to have to spend a LONG time active at 50 to get approved, and even then, only if I feel you've been bringing at least the first up significantly, or will improve. Generally, I only let in newbies who would probably benefit from the caballed experience in, and generally, only have 1 of these in my cabal. Expect to have to do an assload of clanquests.

Good RP, Poor PK: The criteria is similar to the first one, except I'll allow in a few more of these, as necessary. Don't be surprised if you stay at V a longer while though, and get promoted to T within the cabal slowly.

Good RP, Good PK: You'll probably get caballed within a week or two after hitting pinn, and probably get trusted a week or two after you 'naturally' reach V in the cabal. Clanquests aren't really necessary, but are always good to show added dedication.

Great RP, Great PK: If you are out there dominating everyone in PK, and wowing everyone with your RP, screw the friggin' clanquests. You don't need them for attention, you can get all the positive attention you need the old fashioned way, through PK/RP. You'll get in very quickly, and will probably be fast-track promoted to T. Who knows, do something special, and I might even let you skip the first few levels from I-V, or even promote to E+.
