Simple idea:
New highest level: 60
Each class gets 2 or 3 new skills.
Imm level cap remains at 60, and they are now pkable.
What do you think?

They can still cast like 3 hellstreams a round. D:
Despite the heavy consideration to balance and crazy implementation time this would take, I am legitimately for this idea (minus the IMM level staying the same and IMMs being PKable).
I think it would be an interesting change.
Another ten levels to balance out? No thank you, says this man.
I'm still within PK range for some of you. Feel free to take up the challenge - i'm not above padding my PK record ![]()
I've seen how you fight Volg, dirty ![]()
It's also how he talks, and how he plays. So predictable. ![]()

Like a girl? ![]()
Sorry Anume, not meant to offend you ![]()

How about adding more levels, but the newer levels would be merely slight stat-bonuses above 50s, plus level-advantage in spells/skills in a lot lesser manner than 50 and below, yet pk-restriction would allow, lets say, lvl 60 to pk lvl 50.
Perhaps make it so that gaining exp to next level when you reach 50s requires IMM-given rewards? Then mob-death-exp-loss would need to be so that it doesn't affect those at 50s and above, as getting the exp would become very hard. Yet, you could get a chance to earn exp from helping some newbie in newb-channel (as a mere example). ![]()
I personally would love to see characters at level 51 (and above?), without them losing the PK-ability - they'd still be like any other non-imm character, just higher level than normal. Restricted to those characters who deserves the extra thumb-ups due to extremely constructive playing.
I'm just saying, Blizzard made millions by raising the level cap - twice.
TMS #1 Mud has 200+ levels
There are dozens that have a hundred and more. But not every mud in the top 10 has more levels than we do. Imagine how it would be to have to aquire the 74th rank before your dark knight gets fireball. With our smaller pbase we would surely see a day with 10+ people on who absolutely could not travel together. I would not be against player run character limits being raised by a couple of ranks. I just wonder where the Idea ends. Sometimes we get what we ask for and are not happy still.
Croyvern, it appears you are in support of my idea.
The problem is basically this: the 50 level cap is arbitrary. There is no reason for having a 50 level cap except that it has always been this way. To prevent stagnation, change is necessary. When there is no reason for the limit, change is feasible. Therefore, we can change and by doing so add a new dimension to the game.
While I do support the Idea, my point is that if we raise the level cap by 20%, ranges such as "who group" and "who pk" need to be risen by the same amount. If we do not, then players who find it rough to find a group now, will find it near impossible then. That said, now instead of an eight rank advantage some characters would then have a ten rank advantage. I have to believe that this Idea would take some time to balance out is all.
most peoople dont even play ther char at 50 for more than a few deaths then they delete
maybe if everyone was getting to 50, being a t in a cabal, and getting tatooed and custom titled..sure..add more levels.
as it stands now though we barely have enough players to fill out the CURRENT lvls

Blizzard has raised their level cap three times now. But whose counting I suppose.

Blizzard also has a staff that gets paid insane amounts of money to do almost nothing except once every few years toss out some graphics and a lame story. They do everything they can to put out a tiny carrot here and little plum there, maybe a raisin, and they continue getting paid.
Seriously, I don't understand it. WoW is just pathetic to me. So is Blizzard. I scoff at them and turn up my nose.
What we need is a little carrot here and there, Valek.
Obey!

Blizzard may not be the best game company in the world, and wow may not be the best game. But when they have a game that has 13million active players on an engine that is close to a decade old then I have to say they are doing something right.
And say what you will but Warcraft, Starcraft and Diablo are some of the franchises I've found the best story lines in. And some of the most enjoyable gameplay.
Blizzard is the best game company ever existed.
Although, I don't really like how they've turned so commercial.
