Grusmil

Well, my fourth pinnacle...lasted about as long as my other three. Assassinated, walked to my death a few times, teleported to my death trying to find a light in the High Tower after being locked up with Vlad....hmmm...OH..and then I got most of my stuff back only to be an idiot and let myself sleep in town and get destroyed by another thief.

I tried so hard to get something that I thought was severely interesting going....guess it wasn't that interesting.

The Council of the Shadows

You stand within the Council of the Shadows. A dark black table is set in

the room here, and you see strange and unholy runes carved into the walls

around you. Several small torchiers burn here, unendingly, and the room

is filled with an almost hallowed stillness, as if something deadly were

being planned here. You feel all at once at unease.

[Exits: (south)]

A black stone table is sitting here.

A torch is set into the wall here.

You are hungry.

Your hunger hits you.

Grusmil growls, 'I was a fool.'

Grusmil growls, 'To think these walls, this torch, this table...'

Grusmil growls, 'Like my ancestors spoke of it...'

You are hungry.

Your hunger grazes you.

EDIT: And if anyone's wondering why I delete my pinns so fast...I don't want to be the joke of the lands. I want something that's respected. I was laughed at so many times.....

I gained respect originally through a healer who took two months to go from 48-50, got pounded by everyone who ever attacked him, and who got laughed at all the time.

Trust me. Perseverance works. You stick it out with a char long enough, you'll figure out a way to make him fun and interesting.

Never interacted with you that much, but sorry to see you didn't stick it out. Good luck on your next (roll a Paladin, they're fantastic). ;)

Oh, and props on actually trying out some different traps to the normal antimagic/chestbuster setup. I figured out how huge the potential is on one of them, with a little creativity. :D

I know when you are not used to playing at 50 it can be a pain but stick to it. Roll yourself a lowbie to have fun with but log on with your 50 a few times every week (if your time allows) no matter if you just die or not. You WILL learn. Learn to have recalls, gyvels, flight, sanc, teleport, boat. Learn to steal without anyone seeing you, learn to fend off attackers. Learn to survive. Learn to kill. You'll get there.

Thief is a great class for reequipping (steal, blackjack, prey) plus some people will be willing to aid you get shinies so you do not steal THEIR stuff.

Thinking you will get no respect just because you die is just wrong, you'll get a lot more respect for just sticking to it and trying than for deleting when things go wrong.

Good luck on your next PINN.

To what end? At that rate' date=' I'd be condead before my week of vacation is over. What's the point to con dying like that?[/quote']

To any end. Then condeath. I'd much rather see a condeath thread than another common deletion. The point is during those deaths, you would have learned a lot. It may not seem like it, but you will.

When I got vamped with Sirican. How many deaths do you think I took before I hit 50? More than 3. And I do NOT take deaths before 50... Sometimes you just need to learn how to play a class. You will suck for a little bit, but then you will learn and get better. Soon you will stop dying and start killing.

Then you will die again and lose everything. But you'll get back up there. Your next char better last longer ;)

Btw: I interacted a little with this char, he seemed fun. I would have loved to kick your butt a little at 50.

(I would also like to mention that I used to delete my chars after a few deaths and I learned nothing. Not until I began to stick with them did the learning begin. Try it sometime.)

Damn. I was really trying to work with you, as I remember being in your shoes at one point. I really wanted you to hang in there. My prediction is that you would have gotten probably three times better if you did, rather than delete and learn nothing. Btw I was prepared to whip you into shape;) .
